SkyUI Loot Lag
FINAL EDIT: I was able to resolve this issue! See my last post in this thread from December 18th.

This is a problem I had back in the day with the SkyUI for OG Skyrim (not SE version), but I can't remember how I fixed it. As I mentioned in the title, there is a couple seconds of lag any time I try to loot a container or open my inventory. Everything seems to display properly, but the lag is very annoying.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

My SkyUI woes don't end there, unfortunately; I also have quite a few mods that require the MCM menu for adjustments, but while the MCM menu does appear in the pause screen, when I open it, there are no mods listed, just a blank screen. A fix for this would be greatly appreciated too

Edit: Should mention I have the latest version of SKSE for VR properly installed and start the game using the included SKSE exe, manually installed SkyUI VR and the ingame menus have successfully changed to the SkyUI format, and I use Vortex for everything else

UPDATE: Was told from a few different sources that I may have the wrong version of SKSE installed or installed incorrectly because my symptoms are apparently a sign of the SKSE scripts not firing correctly.

I also found that these steps fixed the issue. Note you will obviously need to navigate to slightly different folders/exe's:

Uninstalled everything (mods, Skyrim, SKSE)
Reinstalled Skyrim
Reinstalled SKSE
Deleted the skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files that for me were located at MyDocuments/mygames/skyrim. The Papyrus settings are in the skyrim.ini file.
Launched the 'SkyrimLauncher.exe' application to enable it to create new .ini files.
Lanched the game using 'skse_loader.exe'

I will try out all of this and report in if I find a solution for anyone else having this issue

FINAL UPDATE: Loot lag is gone, and MCM menu is back!

I realized my mistake was installing SKSE and SkyUI manually. All I had to do was take the Data folder for SKSE, ZIP it (don't leave it as a normal folder), and then just click and drag it into Vortex which will add it to your mod list, and activate it. The same was necessary for SkyUI, where I just took the entire SkyUI zip and installed it in the same way.

Hope this helps someone else! Don't install SKSE VR and SkyUI VR manually!

So you zip the skse data folder and install it in Vortex. What do you do with the rest of the skse files?

I had previously installed both manually and had this issue, just zipped the data folder and installed it in vortex leaving the other files still installed and this solved my issue. Glad you posted the solution
