Steam VR Desktop Screen not Fullscreen.
Hey guys, I wanted to record a bit but it's very unflattering when the screen looks like a Vertical Recording from a phone. Not entirely sure what the Resolution is. But is there a way to make the Desktop Screen "Full Screen" ? Thank you.

Hi JJ maybe u should try to solve this issue with small tool from Nexus, I had the same problem. and it worked for me: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16242

After u donwloaded the tool you have to write bFull into the filter, there u can see that the current Value is set to 0 u just have to change it to 1. That is all u need to do.

The next link is another description to solve this problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimvr/comments/8ab0t4/found_that_using_full_screen_in_the/

Another Guide from the steam Skyrim VR Community, that helped me alot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1352632127

Thank you Mar-tian that was actually helpful. However when I record the screen it's all black now, atleast the footage was visible in the recording prior to the change. Do you know anything about that?

You need OBS software and the OpenVR pluging to allow full screen recording of SkyrimVR.

There's a few posts about it here on Steam Forum if you look through a bit.

OBS uses some resources to re-render the image in a different resolution so you might need to turn your SS down when it's on.

Good luck.

I don't record but I use this to show people the game while I'm playing as the bFullSceen=1 "fix" only stretches out the image and looks terrible.

I followed a guide on Youtube on how to configure OBS:

Hope this helps you too.

playing skyrim vr on my system and vive pro is like looking at a 60 inch 1080p screen 4 feet away playing skyrim regular flatpanel. It's that sharp. my settings are in my profile. it's not for everyone fyi.

updating, vive pro is much more sharper. lol
