You can't pick up stuff and melee doesn't work, and if you have any vr headset that isin't the original vive or oculus you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cause the controls are janky for the new controllers
You need a LOT OF MODS AND TWEAKING to get this VR port to acceptable quality.
They exist, and it is possible to make this a good port, They just take a lot of your time and research to set up.
I bought it for 60euro when it was released. I have no regrets.
You can make the textures look allot better. I recommend downloading the following mods: VRIK, apocalypse and ordinator.
First one will give you a actual VR body with the ability to sheet weapons and hotkey spells.
Apocalypse will give you allot more spells to play with and ordinator is a perk tree overhaul.
For texture mods you I would recommend Cathedral Landscapes, Noble Skyrim and Majestic Mountains - Cathedral concept.
Better UI get SkyUI - be sure to download SKSE64 to make it work.
If you like Skyrim you will like this one
any more mod you recommended? I mainly play vanilla skyrim and haven't finished it long ago, and I had oculus just sitting around, I'm thinking getting this, thanks before!
Take a look at this famous Mod List (links and instructions included), it's a fantastic enhancement of Vanilla without changing the core concept of the game: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RaLGgGMBzsIynYFoU-VoPaZc2u0cI0QnATfKnl6iyWM/edit
As for OP, I'd say absolutely! Modded Skyrim in VR is one of the best experiences you can get. Personally I spent more time modding and testing Skyrim SE few years back, always leaving a playthrough after few hours, in VR is totally a different story, the level of immersion is unbelievable.
p.s stay away from melee combat
Now it's 70% off I too have been considering getting it now. But I've heard how bare-boned it was to a fault. There are those who say the game is great with mods but unless the mods I need come in a convenient single-download package I wouldn't know what to do.
