It worked for about 1 hour then all of a sudden the grab buttons activate on repeat when you press it once. Causing me to exit fully out of conversations when I want to go back and ask somethign else.
Causing menu's to fully exit when I want to go back once.
And so does the thumb sticks.
However when the grip buttons have this issue, the thumbsticks sometimes don't.
WTF is going on?
All drivers are updated. Oculus is updated.
I've rebooted, I've verified files. I've even tried messing with INI settings then reverting to the backup again after that failed.
Ryzen 2600
GTX 980
"ROG Strix x470-F Gaming" motherboard.
DDR4 Viper 3000Ghz Ram
If you meant headset then yeah.
I think he means other game pads or joysticks.
I had a G27 wheel plugged in. But it hasn't changed. And never caused issues before.
I thought maybe it was my USB card so I pulled that out of my system. Reinstalled everything and setup my guardian again. Still the same problem.
Oculus says it's Bethesda's fault.
And I'm sure Bethesda will says it's anything but their problem.
Meanwhile they still have a bugs in the intro scene that happen 1 out of every 3 starts that send a horse flying and a never ending cart to run into a wall...
There there's the fact no other game has this issue.
Oh yeah, except Fallout 4 VR
The only change has been my CPU and Motherboard. I went from an FX 8320 to a Ryzen 5 2600.
I can reproduce the issue now in a more direct way.
If I'm on the map and I place a marker, then I try to remove it. The menu that asks "Do you want to Move your marker, Delete, or Cancel."
The grip button will alternate between all three so fast that it appears like all of them are selected.
You basically have to play a slot machine game and hope it lands on the right option.
That's game breaking.
The mechanics work like this.
When I close the grip button fully down it stops. When I release the grip button it stops. But if it's anywhere in the middle of it's analog grip, then it triggers the 'grip' button like a turbo button.
So it must be screwing up between the Vive wand grip 'toggle' and the superior Oculus analog grip.
EDIT:
Also this is making the left grip button toggle weapon sheith realy fast. So trying to draw the weapon when a battle starts is a joke. And putting it away shows the weapon flicker some 100 times before finally going away.
