SKSE
Assuming the script extender will work, is it worthwhile to download? Anyone using it?

It almost certainly won't work as it's an injector that needs to be built for the exe. The VR exe will be different to the regular one and so SKSE would have to be rebuilt for it. How much work that would be I have no idea but the creators of it have previously said they have no plans to do script extenders for FO4VR or Skyrim VR. We can but hope they change their minds because script extenders could potentially expose lots of VR goodness to mess with, in addition to enabling a lot of the more advanced mods (which includes skybivion which I so dearly want to play in VR).

If the creators of the SE's don't want to update their work for VR then somebody will do it eventually.

Nope. SKSE is a closed sourced project, this is because they have PERMISSSION and NDA aggrements with Bethesda. You either join the SKSE team and port it to VR as a teammember or start from scratch.

That's literally what I just said

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skyrim, and has the most extensive sex modding communtiy of basically any game. People will want their VR porn, so if SKSE won't do it then somebody will eventually get horny enough to make their own.

Me: If the creators of the SE's don't want to update their work for VR then somebody will do it eventually.

You: *incoherent and useless attempts to argue about nothing because you are incapable of basic thought*
I can confirm it doesn't work. SkyrimVR seems to be built off of SkyrimSE (just given the way it handles black levels and color, plus just logic re Fallout4's engine). The skyrimse version hangs after the load screen.

SkyrimSE with vorpx is an alternative. Mods that don't use script extensions still work.

This is sad, maybe it's a LOT of work to convert this but I highly doubt it. This should be done by Bethesda anyway, whole SKSE situation is hugely fu ck ed up.

I think Bethesda has been reluctant to help push the SKSE project forward as the direct EXE hook allows users to bypass DRM like Steam's. You'll recall the old SKSE allowed you to run the Steam versions of Oldrim without any kind of authentication or connection to Valve's servers. Could be an 'anti piracy' stance where they're not technically *blocking* SKSE, but not going out of their way to make it easy. A bit like Oculus with Revive when you think about it.

That doesn't make him incorrect. Just as other companies don't want their models in Skyrim, I have plenty of 'IP' armor, including EA/Biowares Mantle of the Champion. There are plenty of sites that host 'illegal' mods.

The point was that it's closed source. Did you even read the full context?

Yes. Closed source doesn't mean some one else can't do it behind Beth's back.
