Did someone try Open Cities in VR?
Self explanatory.

For anyone who stumbles upon this in the future (google):
I've been using it for a while and it works fine, but the latest version (3.0.6+) causes crashes with oblivion gates in Riften (maybe other towns?)

Arthmoor (creator of OCS) said he will not provide support for VR, so your only solution is to use an older version of OCS (if someone has 3.0.5, let me know please)
He will not even release the older versions because he does not want to deal with support issues, so it's nowhere to be found.

I had to roll back to a version from November 2017, as it was the only one I could find on my HDD, so if anyone wants to use OCS, I can probably share that version (no clue which one it is)

I've been using Open cities 3.0.7 now with my 116 mods with no crashes in any cities...and that's with 242 hrs of Gameplay as of this writing.

I highly suggest downloading 'Fallrim Tools 3.03' to see if you need to clean your game save. It's more likely scripting error's causing your crashes. This tool will quickly anylize your save file and can also fix it. I had 877 errors in one of my latest saves that was causing me all kinds of grief with crashes elseware. Took all but less than a minute do anylize and clean with this tool.

If that doesn't help then also try 'Loot' for organizing mods. Also, make sure any of your mods are compatible with each other. Loot will let you know about compatiblity if you use it.

Hey Pheonix, I actually tried it with only OCS+Live another live on a completely new save and it still kept crashing.

Can you walk around the orphanage in riften without crashing? My game crashed right after I left the Bee and Barb through the main entrance (pointing towards the orphanage)

And I kept seeing oblivion gates in the water:

(this was taken before I tried it on a clean save, hence Inigo)

Shaaira, yes I'm able to do all that in Riften...and have completed the orphanage quest...all without problems.

I suggest un-installing Skyrim VR and re-installing Skyrim VR...or...just verify your game files through steam. Un-installing may pick up something verifying your game files may not though. If you have your game saves in steam cloud then everything should be as you left it after uninstalling/reinstalling.

Also, if you are using NMM as your mod manager, I highly suggest using either Vortex or MO2 instead. NMM rewrites your Data folder in Skyrim, the others don't. So if you remove mods with NMM, you risk running into problems that 'will' require a reinstall of Skyrim VR. Vortex or MO2 use a virtual install that is separate from your actual Skyrim VR install...so if something happens your don't have to reinstall Skyrim...you just deal with it through the other mod managers.

Hope this helps!!

Yea, I am using nmm, I actually had issues with Vortex (being alpha I did not complain) so I went back to nmm.

I'll try reinstalling with vortex then and see if it helps...well after I come back from holidays that is

Thanks for your suggestion.

I use MO2 after having many issues with NMM. I haven't used Vortex at all. MO2 is more seasoned but Vortex is earlier to use for the average person. If you still have probelms after using Vortex again...give MO2 a try...there are some quick videos your can watch on the Nexus website inside the MO2 section to help you with install and other things.

Good luck!!!
