Picking up items and putting them into pack

Ok so this is my first time in Skyrim. I get how to loot a corpse but there were items like loose gold or coin pouches laying around that I could pick up. How do I put those items into my inventory?

just point and click the trackpad. The name of the item you highlight should pop up when you are over it.

also click fast to put in inventory, the button to pick-up and to put in inventory are the same on my controls. just matters how long you hold it.

Ahhh forgot to say I am using rift controlers...

Are you tapping the Activate button or holding it down? You should only need to tap to activate/loot and hold to drag iirc.

you need to tap quicker, just holding for a very tiny amount will activate the pick up instead of adding to inventory
