Min Spec (GTX970) Running Fine!
Running smooth AF.
Was running so smooth I've tried bumping the settings up to high, and still running fine.
FO4VR chugged like a mofo for me, but this is perfect, even on my scrub tier min spec card.
(paired with 4790k@4.40GHz, 16GB RAM, Rift+Touch and 3 sensors)

Good to know. I'm using the same card and was planning on getting this soon

I confirm. Haven't even tried Doom VR/Fallout VR/LA Noire because of minimum spec requirement, but Skyrim VR also runs perfectly on my GTX 970, with many mods. Bethesda did a really good optimization job this time!

I tried all 3 of those, and they don't run very well. Doom VFR isn't too bad; it's playable. But Fallout VR and LA Noire don't run well AT ALL. Some people might be able to get through it, but I felt they were both unplayable.

I'm sorry to have to say it, but a 970 is not a very good card for VR. I had 2 of them and unfortunately, SLI tends to never work in VR. Yeah, I know some VR games are supposed to support it, but I just haven't played one of them yet. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend anything under a 1080 for VR. My 1080ti is really making a big difference over my 970 in that I can crank up resolution scaling to 200% and still maintain a solid 90 FPS, this game is amazing in VR if you can get that sort of performance.

Oh, and Fallout VR is a massive piece of crap, don't waste your money. Skyrim VR however, is THE currnetly defining game for VR.

I have a single 970 and can say from experience that outside of the 3 Bethesda games, I haven't run into a single VR game I can't run. And I don't even mean 'run' with all settings turned down to potato, I mean run well, with zero issues. Ok, fine, I can't crank up the SS, but at the end of the day, saying a 970 can't properly run VR just isn't true.

If you're buying a card right now for VR, sure, don't get a 970, but don't go around telling people who currently have a 970 that it's not good enough for VR. It catagorically is.

What is your steam resolution automatically set at? Check it in settings. I bet you are only running 85% res scale, so check it.

Then go to riften and the area outside it. You will get stutter in that area SON!

Running at 100%, thanks.
And just tried the Riften thing; a tiny bit of stutter. Once. In 5 minutes of running around.
It might not be the best card, but you know what, if my choice is this or drop $1k on a 1080ti, I'm ok with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ card thanks.
