Talking with NPCs is not something I'd ever imagined myself doing in Flatrim but it's turned out to be the single most immersive mod I have for VR.
DSN has a function to use phrases to equip stuff from your favourites menu but that is not working on the 1.4 update yet so awaiting the mod to be updated for that - I already had a custom INI set up so I don't rely on the favourites functionality.
If you're playing a mage character, it might be better to install both WOTV and DSN as this will give easier access to all the spells.
DSN gets a massive thumbs up from me, though.

"Firebolt both hands" or "Firebolt right hand"?
At least for spells, it seems to default to both hands, and you trigger it by saying "equip." So:
"Equip firebolt" gives you firebolt in both hands
"Equip lesser ward left" gives you lesser ward in your left hand
About the features I added: Nothing special. Just a way to add alternative texts to the .ini file and replacement rules. So if you don't like the way you have to call out for some equipment, you can change the text it reacts on.
care to share your ini?
You then only need to create a macro of keypresses to select the item from the favourites list for each command you use.
The only drawback is that you can't add anything more to the favourites afterward or it re-arranges the list, forcing you to create new macro's for everything.
If only someone could create a mod to integrate Voice Attack into Skyrim so it can do a search for the relevant item instead of taking it from a fixed list.
