i dont love skyrim, i think its okay, but i been waiting to step into VR.
I have never touch VR in my life, how does it work.
I know u cant fully move irl or you would smash into stuff, but if i have like 4 square meters free room i can move irl, would that work as free roam in the game?
If it does would it be possible to dodge enemy attacks by moving IRL?
Can you block by moving your sword to clash with an enemy sword?
Whats better HTC Vive vs Oculus Rift
Whilst I don't think you'd regret purchasing a headset, I would really recommend trying one before buying. The good news is your rig is very capable so you're not too far away from being set up with a high-end VR experience.
I personally have a Vive with a 2.5m x 3m space and it is extremely good fun jumping around to dodge attacks or dish them out. Look up a game called Gorn for the ultimate in melee battles - Skyrim is a little bit weak in this department but still a ton of fun.
Different games have different movement options - most newer titles are starting to include free locomotion similar to what you'll be used to playing "pancake" games but that can be dodgy for making people motion sick so there's a tried and tested teleporting method in most games.
It's not just about games either, there's so many fun experiences that you can't really understand by watching a video.
Check out Sweviver's channel on Youtube as he has all the headsets and has a light-hearted outlook on things.
I;ve got a 980 ti (other specs are same as yours) and all VR games run at 90 FPS for me.
Normal PC games i would know exactly how well i would run something but VR is different, just because my pc can annihilate skyrim on normal keyboard and mouse it might not on VR, because i read VR needs FAR higher specs
A 1080 can run the game at 90 FPS where it should be and you don't want to be running under that. Just be careful installing mods and cranking up resolution scaling so that you don't stop the game from running at 90 FPS.
I don’t have a sword in real life.
How you change video from 70% to 100%?
