I did finally get it to work. I think i was a combination of reinstalling whole game again, and figuring out what mods (if you are running any) were not VR compatible. And maybe the right SKSE-VR version. I cant remember what all i did to get it to work. Sorry.
I am however still missing the NPC dog mesh. All my game dogs are invisible, and sometimes the odd dragon is too. Its actually irritating. You can hear the dog bark, and it will still get in the way, and (A) talk appears, but no visible dog. The dragons being invisible are more of a challenge. You have to strike it to see its health meter, then you know where it is and can kill it. After its been slain, it appears normally again as it should.
It does take away from enjoying the game. Must be some kind of overwrite glitch. I am just too tired to reload the whole damn thing again. Unless someone has an easy fix to share - then I would love to fix it.
Been all through Google, all through Steam, tried every solution I could find and nothing; it just crashes immediately.
Actually, I'm on Quest 2.
And I did ultimately get it to work, but I'm not 100% what I did.
That's neat and all, but I need to be able to launch the game consistently.
When I said I got it to work, I mean twice. Out of maybe six tries.
Whatever I'm doing, it's not consistent.
May I ask how to do this I'm tryna figure it out
How does one add the nvidia settings 3d preferences?
I do not think that it makes any difference if you add SkyrimVR in the NVIDIA preferences. One does this if you want SkyrimVR to use other NVIDIA settings than other games. Normaly it should not make any difference if one does this or not.
(EDIT: maybe, just maybe, it makes a difference in a laptop PC, to force the NVIDIA gaming GPU to control SkyrimVR instead of the build in office program GPU. But I do not know if this is the case.
The deletation of Skyrimprefs.ini leads to that file beeing replaced by the fresh, default version of it. This can help.
