SkyUI
Does anyone know how to make SkyUI work with this game?

I'm pretty sure it relied on SKSE (someone correct me if I'm wrong), in which case, it won't work unless/until SKSE is gotten to work too. Wish it would happen soon--I love SkyUI!

When SE rolled around, we were able to load a cut down, but still serviceable version of it without SKSE. SEPTIM's guide (also on nexus) described how to do it. And he's been away for a while, so it's still intact. Haven't tried it myself yet, but it's worth a shot.

It will likely have to be rewritten for VR. The interface files have had the most edits and rewrites, the assets needed are possibly just not there from the pancake version to work with.

SkyUI 2.2 works without SKSE BUT

but I can't loot dead bodies or manage inventory but it LOOKS 100 % better
so key mapping is needed

SKSEVR is out for some time now.
I thought the SKSE implementation was still buggy. Has anyone gotten SkyUI working in VR?

SKSE has not been updated for the newest patch yet, but its still just a beta patch anyway.

You can get SkyUI to run, but it is pretty buggy.

SKSE is working fine with the live version of Skyrim VR.

The very initial version had a bug that they found very quickly within a day. I think it had something to do with a memory table increasing in size. Otherwise the core turned out to be very similar to what they already had done for Skyrim Special Edition.

That said, they don't release SKSE versions for beta releases of the game. It sounds like the beta has a handful of bugs, so it might be just as well to wait.

SkyUI itself has other bugs with Skyrim VR, though. I think I've seen some instructions posted on Reddit where people got it working by installing it and then turning off a bunch of features via patches and hacks.

I was just checking up on this and the last thing I read on Reddit was it only worked the first time the menus were opened in Skyrim VR and that was it.

Not true.

Using States to capture multiple keystrokes via the OnKeyDown event and a single key press will fire every OnKeyDown event with the same keycode across all states.
