You've got to edit your SkyrimPrefs (Users > Name > Documents > My Games > Skyrim VR).
Edit this line: fCharacterHeightOffset=45.0000

I set it to 45.0000 cause I'm rather tall. Now your height has increased in game so you can sit down.

get the open vr advanced settings from github. This lets you change it on the fly no need for ini. Just open adv settings got to playspace adjust hieght.

You're welcome BV. I wonder how other people handle the "standing up", it can be quite a work out.

I did it by letting my sensors scan me in the seated posistion. in the oculus set up for room scale

If you play with gamepad instead of vr controllers, you can play seated without changing any setting (less immersive for combat, but more comfortable for long play sessions).

yea i agree, the first 4 hours was fine but then my lower back started to give in lmao.
so i end up going back to my house and sitting down just watching the fire while listening to the music to recharge my backs battieres before i do another 30 min run and my back starts to give in again xD

yea thats mostly why i stand up, for combat, or being able to crouch for when i use a bow in stealthy moments.. but my spine is desinigrating lol. and i play like 8hrs sessions. "no work atm" xD

man 7 hours.. I can go for 1 hour tops before my back starts killing me! So it will be a seated experience for me and changing the ini file did the trick. I expect a seated option soon with some patch tho, but for now this will do :-)

i play seated quite often, because its a LONG WALK to _______ and i want to remain comfortable.

i sneak everywhere, plus sitting, i become super short :-D

I don't suggest playing while sitting down. You can do it, first day I played I had a sprained ankle and could not stand. It's really terrible and gives me some nausea. For best effect in VR, stand up and move around while you're playing, just simulate walking and don't just stand still, for me that completely eliminates any discomfort and I play in free movement without that dumb binocular effect when moving, I hate that, kills immersion dead.

Try not standing for 7 hours straight. Play for 30 minutes or an hour and take a break. Take off your headset and get something to drink or whatever.
