Nexus mods?
So does anyone know if Nexus will add this version anytime soon?

I know you can use Nexus mods now but you have to lie to the Mod manager and tell it Skyrim VR is Skyrim special edition.

Not a huge deal but I am hoping this version gets added so no need for the simi hack required now.

it is starting. Sombody created a Skyrim VR mirror mod that allows you to see your character. . They are trying to get Nexus to create a Skyrim VR section.

Time will tell.

I have a feeling Skyrim VR is doing way better than Fallout VR. The lack of launch issues "or very few" and the bettwer VR interactions with bows and sword/shield combat. I would bet we get our own section on the nexus sooner or later. Already a few VR mods on the SE page.

I'm not sure that they'll add it. Their new software is Vortex, which is currently in alpha, but does support Skyrim VR. I installed it today and used it to add about 50 mods, and it all ran smoothly. I sound lke a bit of an advertisement, but anyway it is an option you may not have known about.

Try using Vortex, it's really easy to use. You just manually download the mods from Nexus and drag them over to Vortex.

Or you can have Vortex download them directly. One word of warning: it will prevent you from downloading anything else with Nexus, and I'm not sure how to fix that (there probably is a fix).

Can add mods manually.
Use the plugins.txt or create it rather and *modname.esp down a list of what you have, just remember to type the master files / DLC first at the top of the list. remove * to turn certain mods off / can rearange them. Perk overhauls like moonlight tales for werewolf / ordainer / Perkmax work but you cant use the VR perk tree to add perks / zoom in. CTD and planning to be fixed. Texture mods without esm/esp/bsa will work. mods that have a BSA/BSM/BSL/esp need to be a Special edition version, Enhanced / Basic / GOTY / BYOB / Whateva wont work. SE only.

SKSE - Will never work for VR. This is huge unless something changes, the exe is so different for VR that SKSE has to be remade. its closed source and Bethseda has a love / Hate for it.

ENB - SE versions of ENB work great do not use anything requiring injector versions, wrapper only and DX11 or better, shy away from ENBs that use the 3d9d.

Ordinator should be working now, there's a mod on nexus fixing the perk issue - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16330
There's also a 'VR' subsection on Nexus now for Skyrim, but not a full VR separate 'game' section.
Vortex works, has some issues but overall decent.

Ok so vortex? I hadn’t heard about it. Is it part of Nexus? Where do you get it?

Awesome, thanks for the info.

You can get it here,

https://www.nexusmods.com/site

and there's some information about how to use it in the reddit link I posted above.

It is basically the new version of Nexus mod manager.

Nice thanks. Tomorrow is my day to mod the crap out of the game. My little time spent in it so far has been spent figuring out the goofy touch controls.

About got that down so time for modding.

Thanks for the info guys.

That and they didn't essentially lock out half the market on pc this time. Fallout 4 has the ability to be so much more then skyrim in vr, and at moments you can see it (especially when you land a shoot in vats) but it just needs a whole lot more work and other headset support by default. Then it may gain some traction.

I'm just using Mod Organizer 2

https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/8a0c1z/skyrim_vr_walkthrough_for_mod_manager_2/

Dev added a DL to download for it to work with Skyrim and this. Downloaded all the usual mods and went from there.
