ini file tweaks: Basic tips
I thought I might give some very basic tips to editing the ini file since I spent ages editing the wrong file lol

1: Go to your “Skyrim VR” folder inside Documents/my games/. There should already be a SkyrimPrefs.ini file in there.

2. Next you will need to create an ini file called “SkyrimVR.ini”. I just copied “SkyrimPrefs.ini”, renamed it and deleted all the text inside.

3. Add your changes to this file and save. Here is a link to a file with all the options you can tweak https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16246
Trial and error to your heart's content :)
Just make sure to always use an “=” before values. Many times when copying over other peoples settings from websites the “=” might not be shown. It’s an easy thing to miss and can waste a lot of time.

Here is an example of my changes (I need to spend a lot more time looking into my options). If you have some cool ones of your own please share.

# Haven’t played around with the display settings at all, I just copied over my fallout 4 ones.
[Display]
fTAAPostSharpen=0.675
fTAASharpen=1.0000
fTAAHighFreq=0.8000
fTAALowFreq=0.5000
fTAAPostOverlay=0.675
fSunShadowUpdateTime=0.0075
fSunUpdateThreshold=0.0050

[VR]
# You don’t get any shorter while in sneak mode.
fSneakHeightPercent=0

[VRUI]
#Removes enemy health bars.
fEnemyMetersScale_Max=0
fEnemyMetersScale_Min=0
fEnemyMetersScale=0

#Makes the compass HUD much lower. I use the “low” compass option in the game settings with this. I found that adjusting the compass scale caused issues so I left it at 1.
fHUDCompassScale=1.0000
fHUDCompassZ=-20.0000

# Makes all other HUD elements much lower as well.
fHUDMenuScale=1.0000
fHUDMenuZ=-35.0000
