What GPU are you using and how many mods?
I've only got a 1070 and am worried about performance issues. If I get this game, I am going to mod it into waifu dragon slayer simulator 2018.

While I do want to upgrade to the 1080 Ti, I would really prefer to wait for the 2xxx series. So for those of you who are running a crap ton of waifu texture mods or what not, how is your performance and what GPU are you using?

With my i7 67000K and 980GTX, it runs great with about 45 mods installed, including SMIM, High Poly Project, Skyrim Realistic Overhaul, Noble Skyrim, Skyland, Bigger Tress, HQ Tree Bark (Lush), Realistic Waters Two, etc. I only hit trouble when I tried grass mods and, even then, it wasn't too noticeable. I don't think you need to upgrade yet.

Oh boy, my excitement level rises; that is very promising!

Glad to have good news! For the record, I don't know what "waifu dragon slayer simulator 2018" is, so not sure if that changes anything.

CBBE and a lot of mods that will make my fiancee question what I'm into

Got it. Ironically, in a nearby thread, I was just seeking advice regarding how to go in the other direction with the WICO mod (which I really like for different reasons).

You’re good with a 1070 for some time. Focus on mods that have global appeal with least performance hits. You’ll want a texture overhaul, weather overhaul and immersive sound mods to start. If you want to run skyporn 90 FPS is probably not possible with decent ss

i7 7700K (no overclock), 16 GB RAM, GTX 1070 GAMING X and i have nearly 110 mods but not 90 FPS all the time but my Skyrim looks cool.

1080Ti here, 140-ish mods. As mentioned above, not so much the number as the content and how it's applied.
Things are running much better since I upgraded my CPU and removed a bottleneck there.

With a 1070, around 100 mods, from textures to AI replacement, it ran fine with no more than 5% reprojection and 140% of Steam Super Sampling.
Was personnally not fully satisfied with the clarity of the graphics however, so now I'm running a 1080ti and upped the Supper Sampling to 230% for the same performance.

Now that's commitment to beauty!
