VATS Button?

I'm using the Oculus Rift S, and I can't figure out how to open VATS. I'm still in vault 111, trying to kill the rad roaches. Shooting them seems almost impossible without help with aiming. I suppose I could just beat them to death, but I still want to know how to activate VATS. lol :)

The Y button on the left controller activates VATS for me. Try aiming down sights while shooting. It's a little odd at first, but after a while you'll be able to pull off headshots at range with no problems at all.

I will try that. No buttons seemed to work earlier. How do you aim down the sights? Just holding it up?

Yes, just hold the gun up to aim down the sights. Range seems to play a fair role in accuracy, and the 10mm pistol that you start off with has a pretty low range. Once you get out of the vault, modify guns for increased range. I can't get used to scopes in F4 VR, but glow sights work well.

Actually, it should be the B button on the right controller for you, I'm left-handed.

I have tried every button and trigger combination, including the joysticks on both controllers. Nothing opens VATS. Do I have to be exited from the vault first?

i just bought on the rift S and when i boot up the game it works but when i choose a new game saved file it kicks me out and goes back to steam home....any suggestions on how you got it to work

I had no problem starting a new game. I didn't even try to use old save files.

It's indeed the B button on the Right Controller. (I'm playing Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop). I actually love the game.

I think VATS available only after a getting PIP boy behind the Big door

Yup, anything to do with the pip boy is locked until you pick it up. Including VATS
