Maybe somebody has heard of a next gen patch for Vr version?
Just hoping.

I mean there will be a "Next gen" patch for normal non VR fallout 4 and I wonder if somebody has heard anything regarding the VR version.

I doubt we'll get the update. Probably don't want it either as it will most likely break a ton of mods. Alot of the working mods we have now are unlikely to get updated if that happens.

Thanks man. I was hoping that somebody could have heard something in conventions or something.

Let's be serious, normal fallout 4 doesn't need a nextgen patch, it works perfectly with a normal rig nowadays, even at 4k, fallout 4 vr on the other hand... Let's say that it could use some love in the optimisation department.

Yea Youre not wrong but at the same time they couldnt even be bothered to give us the dlcs without mod work around so I highly doubt they are going to do much more to it unfortunately which is a shame cause it has a lot of potential

Knowing Bethesda you probably just have to drop the right files from the base VR game into the next Gen folder. I did this with the standard version when it first launched so I can play the dlcs. Just took the VR files and plopped them into the base game and everything just worked.

This is microsoft now, dont expect anything in a VR game, there isa nothing to come to VR soon, since 5 years no update and i dont expect it to happen.
Yeah it went from "playable" on a quest to downright broken with index controllers. The controls are so bad and the dog makes it even worse LOL! Why port a game to VR like THIS?!

No one did. It was developed and released in 2017, with only the vive and oculus on the market. The index and its controllers were released two whole years later.

partially true. active development and support of the VR port stopped in march 2018 i believe. the index controllers got released in late june 2019.
have yet to try the index fix you've provided. just read that "stick up" is jump in that emulated layout and felt a sharp pain in my brain.

There are probably several FO4VR controller bindings for knuckles that have been uploaded by other users.

unfortunately it's not just the bindings, but how they are recognised by the game. the game treats them mostly as vive wands which makes the menu functions not properly operational as you cannot "swipe" with the sticks, since they flick back into resting position.

you need to either do what you recommended to me yesterday with emulation set to oculus controllers and then tweak the bindings or get a mod that implements a proper controller recognition for the knuckles. which idk how possible that may be. I have been too busy today to check.

edit: apparently with how the new steamvr controller bindings work you can just edit or download the bindings now and should be fine. still not optimal but it's operational at least.

I highly doubt they will make another VR port since their VR ports had very poor reception on release (for pretty valid reasons).
if they will make one it will be a good while later, but I'm not counting on it. they gotta recover from starfield and FO76 first

Most mods (and DLCs) work fine with Fallout 4 VR, so I have high hopes for Fallout: London. I'm a little worried if they modify it to depend on the the Next-Gen pack though, since that won't be available for VR.

My biggest fear is that we'll still have funny things like the terrain appearing 60ft below you, even if we change the mod's version number with f04edit.
