If you play survival and want to manage the timing of spawns, I recommend SURVIVAL OPTIONS, which gives you a configurable holotape that also allows you to SAVE THE GAME.
With the CTDs present even in vanilla & pancake Fallout, it's pretty essential if playing survival (IMO)
In that survival options mod, you can change the spawn frequency, by default (and from memory) it's something like:
Cell not cleared: respawns in 7 days
Cell cleared: Respawn in 20 days
Survival by default INCREASES the amount of time for respawn (logic being you walk everywhere), it leads to a HELLA EMPTY wasteland.
I think the vanilla multiplier is something like DOUBLE, and the survival options mod allows you to INCREASE that further, but also DECREASE it, going down to 0.5
So you can reduce the spawn timers to 3ish days / 10ish days if cleared location
If you want to add a lot of life to the commonwealth there's a laundry list of mods that add factions, spawns and whatnot. In vanilla I tried WAR OF THE COMMONWEALTH, which adds massive chaos to the game (and also instability as it modifies a lot of game areas and spawn points). Not sure of it's viability for VR.
Side-bar, load TRUE STORMS, and make it so when there's a radstorm there's a high chance (you can even make it 100%) of sending a ghoul horde up from the glowing sea. It can send waves of up to 30 ghouls at a time, and can attack your settlements, AND you can time the frequency of waves at which it sends more. Great with D.E.C.A.Y. (better ghouls) .. both stable and good with VR.

It looks fine to me and allows you to configure respawn for clear/not clear cells and also loot containers. Any game difficulty level

and the "Pile Of Corpses"

I played a few hours and did not encounter any problems in game. When i logged off however, i realised that i did not get an achievement, because achievements seem to be disabled when playing a modded game.
I therefor also installed the "FO4VR MOD ACHIEVEMENTS ENABLER" which solved that little annoyance.

Trying Never Respawn atm. Seems ok but i did have a area that showed cleared repoped again?? Will keep an eye on things. Just loving the others mods mentioned, so many to choose from its becoming addictive :P
Yes, please do. I did not notice any such thing as repopulating areas, but i wouldn't notice. I got the map very much explored and there are lots of areas. I can't remember which ones i cleared already.
Are you certain that you installed the mod correctly (did you use a mod enabler or manual copy paste) and do other mods work for you?
I use Vortex, other mods are working great.
