no. Bethseda have said this repeatedly..it's roomscale and motion controls. PSVR has alternate controller modes because not everyone has the PSVR wands. Vive comes with controllers by default so it's a non issue...and quite frankly I cant see it being a pleasent experiance with a standard controller.

That's just your preference, maddog. And to make VR actually auccessfull, Bethesda should not think in dogms but actually adress their players.

Well we will must await to the modder community.
And The maddog this message was more for Bethesda. There are people in a wheelchair but no big problem changing the size at steam vr but more easy an option inside the game and other reasons for prefer control pad than motion controls.
But this time Bethesda gives us all the work to modify this things (you know changing de SS and other parameters)
So please Bethesda,if you give us more playgame options
better to all the people.
Thanks for the info anyway, will wait to modders I hope.

You can play seated if you wish, just be careful using melee weapons.
people keep saying that Bethesda will patch it to use controllers, But I have not seen a 100% quote from them on that.

Maybe modders can made something similar, sure.
Thanks for the info.

I have been playing seated for a few hours when my legs get tired and it works just fine with the Vive controllers. If you have full use of your arms you might actually prefer the vive wands for this game over a controller depending on how snap turning effects you in VR.

You could just refund Fallout 4 VR, aannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd buy Vorpx!! Half the price, works seated with controller and you can play a ton of other titles with it in VR too like Half Life. Why spend 40 bucks to add essentially motion control to Fallout 4 and play with a controller? 19.99 for Vorpx to do the same thing with the original Fallout 4, Skyrim, etc etc etc.

Cool, only said that Bethesda will give us more options like theese two.
In other instance,I have Vorpx since years and used it with Outlast I,GTAV,Fallout NV and F4 years ago.Better native vr but with this other tittles with no vr may be an option.
Keep waiting,thanks.

With the low LOS standing play is essentially sitting height anyways. It was a mistake to have Todd be the only one to playtest this game.

honestly would be better experiance with standard gamepad dont really care for touch controllers

If they implement controllers then the Rift users will be able to use it fully, thats why they most likely took them out!

You can adjust your player height using Advanced OpenVR settings, just download it from GH. It will add an extra button in Steam VR that you can point and select. Running fine for me in my lazy ass office chair.

Edit: be sure to create a new profile in there just for FO4VR. I haven't had much difficulty after adjusting to an approximate height of 6', interacting with low and floor items.
