Is one of the reasons I believe that there are so many anti VR haters out there. My first experience with VR was with a Gear VR headset I thought it was neat but more of a gimmick strapping a phone to your head I thought to myself this is VR I'm sure the Vive and Rift are pretty cool but not that different maybe just better graphics boy was I wrong. I'm so glad I took the plunge and purchased an Oculus Rift honestly I was starting to get bored with gaming I have well over 300 games in my library and I just didn't play that much anymore but VR has completely changed gaming for me a true advancement in gaming that we very much needed.

I too have wondered about this kind of thing, like how many people tried that ghey-as-fcuk Google Cardboard and thought "wow, this VR stuff really sucks!" and were left with that incorrect impression of what actual VR is.
