Yeah, I play sitting. In the Advanced Steam options you'll see "Accessibility" you can bump up your height there. There's also a "Floor Fix" which you'll need to use sometimes to reset the floor distance.

In game, there is a world scale option. Move the slider all the way up.

A lack of real smooth turning is the only thing that makes it hard to play seated.

Played many hours this way, because, as you well know your feet, legs & back start to hurt after a few hours. I have a makeshift attachment for the Vive cord to be hanging from the ceiling... I just sit in my swivel chair... You should download the advanced settings for your steamVR...

You can adjust the height of your perspective under the accessibility options. I usually have mine set at 35 or 40...

Controller support would fix this issue.... but Bethesday may not be including it because that means other VR headsets would work with it.... Bethesda can't have that now can they?

hi sorry to drag this up but the height adjustment is great but how do you set it up so you can crouch/touch the floor?
In the game, under VR or some setting somewhere, there's an option to SET WORLD SCALE which allows you to modify the scale of the world relative to your own size, which might be a helpful starting point for a person who is too short.

In the Steam vr options there's two bits under ADVANCED that help you tweakify your overall height in game, by playing around with FLOOR FIX and ACCESSIBILITY, you can pretty much set your height to anything.

FLOOR FIX: you put one controller on the ground and hold the other (this is with room scale) the system detects and adjusts for your overall height. The steam lobby and games then work from that basic height, so if you bend jump or whatever, it's the baseline.

You can then use that ACCESSIBILITY slider to increase or decrease the height from that baseline.

SO .. what you can actually do is slide ACCESSIBILITY all the way up or down (which changes your height up or down, then trick the FLOOR FIX by manually choosing where the controllers go (which also resets ACCESSIBILITY to 0, so you can slide up or down some more. You can tweak it pretty much to whatever precise height you want.

I would play the game in the same height I am in real life. Why do it any other way? i`m not a tall guy myself, but I try to get the height exactly as in my real life. My only criticism is that all NPCs in the game seem to be the same size. There doesn`t seem to be a mod that randomises sizes.

Being small and still coming out a winner (the hero) should make you feel even better.

I used the OpenVR Advanced Settings package. There is a space offsets page where you can adjust your height.

of course theres so way to adjust up or down head tilt, atleast for falloutvr, kinda makes having hight adjustment pointless since you have to stare down constantly and theres no on demand way to do that

download ovr advanced settings and go to offsets insides the head set and adjust the middle offset to about -0.50 this works for me and allows me to play seated while maintaining height.
