dropping inordinant amounts of stuff quickly. and other ways to scrap lots of equipment.
so, like so many others, I want to scrap massive amounts of weapons and armor quickly. and the time honored solution of "drop it all on the ground and use scrapall in the console" is no longer viable in FO4VR. emptying an inventory of weapons and armor onto the ground takes just as many button presses as scrapping everything manually at a workbench. two button presses per item just to drop things? not for me, thanks.

any newish solutions to this? I'll be very thankful for a solution in any form. whether it's an exploit, option or mod to allow single button or mass item dropping from the pipboy, or a mod I have somehow missed that mass scraps armor and weapons.

unsatisfactory mod solutions for equipment scrapping:

This mod is an expansion to the Contraptions DLC from pancake FO4, which includes equipment recycling machines. assuming you've got all your mods enabling the DLC files set up right, it's fully functional (aside from a very small number of the halfway-between-clothing-and-armor head equipment, like sack hoods and gasmasks, getting spat out unprocessed) but it's slow. very very slow. and requires some set up before you can get down to bussiness too.

Nodas Equipment Recycler. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24715
this would be exactly what I was looking for if it were finished and/or functional. unfortunately it is unfinished/broken.

and that's all I got. anyone have anything else?

There is a way to swap the save from FO4VR to regular FO4, which might let you handle equipment better. I know it has been used for settlement building, but it should surely work for consle commands like you've suggested. Sorry, it's not exactly a "VR" fix, but it might help.
