It can be better but I'm already happy. Trust me when I tell you it is big jump from a 1080 and vive to a 1080ti and a vive pro.
I can't imagine how this will look on a pimax 5plus with a rtx 2080ti oc
For a 1080p monitor, try upscaling to 4k using Nvidia's DSR. Increase it as much as possible and you might see a difference. For the best reseults, you'll need to get a 4k monitor.
You assume people know what this is, why don't you explain how?!
If you mean the DSR, then I finally got this working. Assuming you have an Nvidia card, then you do the following:
1) Open the Nvidia Control Panel.
2) Expand the '3D Settings' section, and select the 'Manage 3D settings' option.
3) In the page that opens, select the Global Settings tab (which should be the default).
4) Scroll down to the 'DSR- Factors' option. Click on it, and select the largest number available (most likely this will be 4.00x).
5) The selection should be saved automatically, so you can now close the Nvidia Control Panel.
6) Open the display settings for Windows (right click the desktop, select 'Display Settings'
7) If you have a dual-monitor setup (or more than dual) then you MUST disable the second monitor. Scroll to the Multiple Displays option and select 'Show Only on 1'. This will disable your second monitor and only use the primary monitor. You MUST do this. I didn't at first and nothing worked. You can only have one monitor active.
8) Increase your resolution to the maximum. If you set the DSR-Factors option correctly, when you open the Resolution drop-down, you'll see a new resolution far greater than 1920x1080. For me, it's 3840x2160. Whatever that big resolution is, select it. If you don't see anything bigger than 1920x1080, then the DSR-Factors in the Nvidia Control Panel were not set correctly.
9) With the resolution set, launch Fallout 4 VR.
You should see a massive improvement. Trust me, you'll know if it worked or not. Once I finally got the dual-monitor problem resolved, it was night and day. Hell, you'll probably know just from the loading screen. The object that appears and rotates should be much more clear and visible.
After you're done playing, just set your resolution back to normal and (if applicable) extend your display across your other monitors. It is annoying that you have to do this, but it does make the game playable.
Ah, I see. I tried the DSR thing but it didn't work but I have 3 monitors and didn't think of disabling any of them and just having the one. I will give that a go when I next play, thank you.
You should hold off on it, it's overpriced garbage at this point.
You have samsung oddysey which is the exact same display as it's sold by samsung. With better tuning and less godrays. Better Microphone. 1/3rd the price if you care. Tracking is also very good, don't believe the hype/antihype. You literally plus the samsung in and you're good to go. Easy PZ.
Pimax is right around the corner too, and from reviews alone it outclasses all other vr headsets hands down.
Buying any HTC headset right now is the most foolish thing you can do.
Those Samsung devices. I tend to use that on my simulator rig. Works fine.
Terrible for beatsaber.
Oh my bloody god though !!!! How amazing does my fallout vr look now ?!?!
Thankyou !!! I owe you a huge man hug lol
