Why I feel bad after I blew up the Institute?
Seriously. I finished the game with Nuclear Option (Railroad) just to get the achievements. Now I feel bad for destroying the place because they weren't really evil and even worse: I basically took their jobs!

It annoys me that I have multiple ideas for different ways to solve the "conflict" without everyone dying in the process. While I enjoy killing BoS for various reasons, I wouldn't want to destroy that heavenly place called the Institute.

I just hope that in Fallout 5 I can destroy every faction with a big boom if I want to or keep them all.

*murdered your husband

Whoever got the idea to kidnap my kid have been out of the picture for a long time though and not every sciencist approved it (if you listen to holotapes/read terminals).

People responsible for the kidnapping are already dead. It would be kinda pointless if not wrong to blow up the place because its filled with people who has nothing to do with it.

If I could, I would happily shoot the kidnapper sciencists in the face, chop their bodies with a chainsaw and burn the remains while dancing around the fire... but it's not possible.

But they are STILL activly kidnapping and murdering and replaceing people . The people may have changed,, but what they stand for and what they do.... has not.

By becoming the director, at the directorate meeting you can decide what the Institute does. You can choose if they focus on weapons development or synth production. Also you can replace specific people with a synth if you want to... oh wait it made zero difference to the game as Institute rifle still sucks.

Also even if they kidnap people without my approval I don't know the victims so I don't care. They were probably bad people and deserved it.

I can see that you will justify murders simply because they have a nice building. But at the end of the day.....really the only people that don't need to be killed off are the good people of the commonwealth. the settelers......Raiders...gunners.. bos.. iinstitute.. sure, kill as many as you can. lol The raolroad is not bad but after the institute is gone they won't be needed so....

What I don't like about FO4 is the end game. No matter what faction you join, they want you to kill everyone else. Minutemen excepted but they aren't really part of the main story.

ya, i agree, But on this playthrough,, I avoided the minuitemen because of the never ending " help me we are under attack" bs.. and if I am the GENERAL....then why in hell is preston garvey the one sleeping in a soft bed every night and I AM THE ONE DOING ALL THE DAM LEG WORK.

Well, in my VR playthrough, the low frame-rate in the institute was all the justification I needed for blowing them up.

I had the same problem. Lowering the shadow quality pretty much fixed the frame rate.

yeah pretty much everyside is garbage cause BOS i got stuck on kill virgil mission and replayed the kill danse mission a millions times till I could persuade maxson to not, and Institute would'nt shutup about killing the railroad. My friend made a good point that the minutemen were the best choice cause they were the only ones that actually cared about the common wealth. But for some reason the minutemen just feel like a piece of the tutorial.

Minutemen is a failsafe for multiple reasons. It is a shame they are ruined with those helpess settlers and Preston's endless "HELP US WE ARE RTARDS"-quests. Also, they render Sanctuary completely unusable with all that endless hammering at the house's walls.

I don't feel bad, I always used the evacuation protocols. I don't like the BOS, nobody wants to live under a Martial Law. Minutemen seem to be the only logical choice where you build a future for next generations to come. "A place to call their own." . You don't piss any of the other factions off including the Railroad. Plus you get those "HELP US WE"RE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" quest afterwards from Preston of the Institude that people that escaped.. Im going to try something different this time around and bring Danse with me on the Minutemen blowup. See if I still get the same reaction from the BOS. "Next time why don't you include some of your brothers and sisters in on the fight." Probaby wont change anything, TBH I don't see why they wanted the glory anyway. AD VICTORIUM my ass, they just wanted control of the Commonwealth.
