Anti-aliasing & anisotropic filtering off, SS on?
Is this generally the best for most of us? Or has someone else found a nice balance that works better for them?

well, look at my settings. its more info in my profile. It works well and performance is excellent on a gtx1080

Blimey, I have a 1080 and can't run anywhere near that high SS

i just set a few people with it and it runs fine for them. Others preffer high framerate but in reality, you need to setup to what the game will peform at. I run project cars 2 with all settings maxed out but at SS either 1.8 or 2.2. Its more graphically demanding than fallout 4 vr. Still looks sharp.

You must have a high tolerance for reprojection. I bet you have 100% reprojection with those settings.

What do you perceive when you run it at this setting?

New to VR, but does anisotropy really involve much of a performance hit? In games in general, it's typically one of those "no measureable impact for great visual improvement" settings, and has been for 10+ years.

Is VR somehow that different, aside from the obvious double rendering?

High anisotropy reveals sharp distances on pancake monitors. It's noticeable. I prefer trilinear

Baffling that these very basic graphics options weren't in the original release.

If you look at their specs window, the range is pretty slim, amd a standard setting would normally work. But lets get get real here, everyone and their brother is attempting to play below specs.

I run PC2 on Always On only, as I just can't stand any kind of reprojection showing in cockpit, a personal thing I know. So I have settings a lot lower than you.

I also used to play FOVR4 with just Always On for 100% smooth gun movement, but no feel I need to sacrifice this for Async Repro.
