SOS my friends: The trees and grass look very bad, the rest very well.
Friends I need help,

I have configured the graphic options within the game to the maximum (FXAA, 16x), the supersampling of steamvr to 2.0.

I have also installed the pack of hd textures downloaded from steam vr (56 gb).

I have the last version and update of Fallout 4 vr.

I see everything very well, inside the bunker the quality is exceptional, but when I went outside, the edges and contours of the trees, towers of electricity, grass, bushes, etc., look very pixelated and with many teeth of saw.

This only looks so in the distance, when I approach the trees and bushes they look very good and those jagged and pixelated edges disappear, only happens in the distance.

I've played other virtual reality games and at that same distance the trees look perfectly (Ethan Carter Vr, The Prince of Thalos, etc).

That could be happening ???

How can I solve that ???

Thank you very much for the help.

It's the FXAA. It's universally (mostly) agreed to be an inferior antialiasing method compared to TAA. Yeah, TAA adds some blur, but Beth tweaked the settings since initial release and its much better now even without adding further ini tweaks. I recommend trying TAA instead of FXAA.

Thank you friends for help me.

Ranxerox, one question....

I suppose that when you say that you try virgin.ini, you mean that I have to download that file, where is the download link ???.

I have reviewed your profile and can not find a link to download the virgin.ini file.

I have a powerful computer and I want to test your configuration.

I7 6700k, 32 gb Ram, Nvidia Titan Xp.

Thank you so much !!!!.

virgin is an untouched .ini. no modifications needed. with a titan xp, you might try SS 3.8 or 4.2. drop it down to 3.2 if it gets too jittery! 2.6 is smooth gameplay for any situation but blurry.

Thank you so much for respond me, ok, now i have modify the ss to 2.0 in the config file.

The line RenderTargetMultiplier=2.0, i have modify to made hand, dont like me the openvrsettings program, dont use this program.

Change to Rendertargetmultiplier=3.2 / 3.8 / 4.2, i try diferent options.

One question, actually i modify in nvidia control panel, 3d options, the DCS factores in 4.0x (bative resolution) select and ajust PPP high for aplication.

I read this mode in a Fallout 4 forum.

Its necesary ??????.

Excuse me for my english and thanks you do much.

Sorry friend, can you explain what do you mean by your phrase ???.

Thanks you so much.

No, use the slider in the steamVR to adjust it to 3.2. Do not modify the ini file. If you already modified and you want a seemless experience, set the ini ss to 1.3 and set the steamvr supersampling slider to 2.2.

Hi Predator, your reasons in your post are the exact reasons why I do not play Fallout 4 VR. Going "outside" it looks like complete garbage. Is there any solution to this? Please write here again if anything works.

Don't forget that the resolution of the glasses is just limited. Blurryness in the not-so-distant area is not the fault of the game but just a limitation of the current VR hardware.

It's no coincidence, that you can almost count the pixels in the VR headsets. The obvious consequence is, that there are comparitively few pixels to draw the actual image... which results in blurryness.

I see, so there is no hoping of any improvements in the area of "outdoors"?
I think that Elite Dangerous has the same problem, the ship and everything around it, stations etc are awesome but the space itself looks like a cardbox.

Well, if you get aliasing (like the edges of grass and other items in the distance look like they're sparkling), the only thing you can to is to enable TAA anti aliasing (in the settings). That will effectively reduce the aliasing. But some people think the image gets too blurry - I disagree though.
