Fists for unarmed combat. Unequip all weapon and get ready for combat. You have human fists and power armored fists.

Would you mind explaining how to equip fists as a weapon? I know that you can hold the "favorites button" together with the grip on the trackpad to unequip a weapon.

There are at least two quests that involve unarmed fighting in the game and I couldn't find fists on the weapon menu or the favorites radial, and when I unequip a weapon I just get the controllers.

You equip fists by unequiping everything else (weapons). Then just pull out your weapon like your going to fight (pull trigger) and you'll pull out fists for punching.

Its been fun at times but i find the hit detection with the power armor fists just doesnt always connect like i want it to. Its on of those niche market playstyles tho so i cant really complain about it. I just want to bash someone at times like im in a hulkbuster suit. Maybe its for the best because i actually punch the wall with my vive controller a few times lol

If they can do a fist, I don't see why they can't give us hands.

Derp.

I crossed over 100 hours of playtime without learning this. Thank you.

Well, if they were going to add a hands feature, it probably would have happened by now. But there's at least a glimmer of hope because they have to fix the washed-out look on the in-game controllers.

EDIT: I figured out the below. The issue was that I kept unequipping the weapon via the Favorites radial. After unequipping my weapon via the Pipboy Inventory, pulling the trigger worked as intended.

I pretty much never switch weapons directly from the inventory is why this didn't work for me. Apparently unequipping from the radial is more like "quick switch" than an actual disarming of the weapon.

Does this really mean that unarmed builds can't use the Favorites menu to return to unarmed combat after for example drawing a pistol? That seems like a bug.

Unfortunately, this isn't working for me.

In game, I have a "favorite" weapon equipped (a combat rifle). I unequip it by holding the center touchpad click + grip combo.

When I either pull the trigger or click the grip buttons on the primary controller (using Vive wands), the rifle comes back out, not the "unarmed weapon".

Swinging with the regular like I am doing the weapon bash does nothing.

I tried making an empty spot on my Favorites radial, but when I try to select it, it just reads "Empty" on the radial menu UI. Trying to use this entry instead of my combat rifle does nothing (clicking trigger still equips the rifle after unequipping it).

Can someone help me figure this one out? I can't seem to wrap my brain around the control scheme to switch to the "unarmed weapon" and use fists.

I am using texture and difficulty mods, I doubt they are interfering with this but it's worth mentioning.

Yea, read you figured it out. But, that's the favorites menu for quick selection of items or holster your weapon. It does not alow you to unequip, that has to be done via the pipboy.

There are alot of weapons that fall under unarmed. Knuckles for one and pistol whiping all count as unarmed. But to go bare fists the entire game would be kinda dumb when knuckles or a power fist is easy to come by.
