Neither the high res DLC or any of the texture fixed on Nexus has restored the ground textures that are missing. Far Harbor is still playable, just wierd looking ground in some areas.
I also did not notice a difference with the high res texture pack either.
Is this you? Because this video does not explain how to get it to work.
Are you using NMM?
I've heard that load order might do something though I don't know how.
Please give me more information. Can you give me you're load order? Did you only copy dlc files or everything?
-let fallout4 download all DLC, including ultrahichresolution pack
-I did follow instructs to copy dlc files from steams fallout 4/data to steams fallout 4vr/data
- made (Yourusername/appdata/local/fallout4vr/dlclist.txt" and referneced each esm file in it like DLCCoast.esm
- then same folder i made plugins.txt for ultimate resolutions with "DLCUltraHighResolution.esm" without commas
- added this:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
to fallout4vrcustom which is at steam/common/fallout4vr folder, (this might be not necessary, because i think this is wrong file to put it anyways)
- Then i just ran it first time, it didnt work. Next i added * before that DLCUltraHighResolution.esm , then i did stop trying to fix texture stuff
- At some point i removed all DLC from everywhere, just to let game install them again, i was playing same time in VR mode, and game alerted that new addons was available when those.
-I did test my VR character at desktop version of game by copying all saves from VR to desktop, (mygames/fallout4VR/saves to mygames/fallout4/saves) i t hink i did only copy them that direction, not back to VR.
-at VR side of game i loaded game from "Vault 111", its automatic save point for every character which lets you decide your character name and stats last time before exiting vault
-There was some point where i cleared my DLClist.txt so it was empty, and did load my character which was at FarHarbor island, that was the point when i did find all textures are fixed.
So this was about it, i am pretty sure that not all are necessary parts, hopefully that DLC deleting and installing isnt the solution because thats pain. You can try easiest and fastest steps first.
And i am not using NMM
What did you mean by
"- At some point i removed all DLC from everywhere, just to let game install them again, i was playing same time in VR mode, and game alerted that new addons was available when those."
The game doesn't install anything. Did Steam download them to the non VR version and you got the notification that the DLC has been added?
