Game thinks I am endlessly swimming.

Swimming sound plays despite the fact that I walked out of the water. Re-entering the water and leaving again has no effect even large lakes... I cannot shoot or jump, and frankly the noise is annoying. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. Ended up having to load a save point prior to when I entered the water and replay from there.

Someone else had this happen to them, and so did I. We were both able to stop the sloshing noise and continue our games. Look up the thread in this forum titled "Swimming Bug". No promises, but at least I can tell you it is possible to get out of this situation without going back to an earlier save.

I just swapped to a melee weapon and that got rid of it.

yeah swap weapons it fixes it, reloading a save DOES NOT WORK

least not for me, but swapping weapons will fix it
