I give up on this game after +300 hours.

The ONLY problem with this game is its poor player-base. Currently, if you try to play a game of teen where you try to learn and play casual while having fun it is impossible, unless you like masochism, or you are a competitive player.

The game will pair you up with stupidly experimented monsters where they will stomp on you without caring if you're a new player just starting out, while at the same time making it harder for your teammates if you're not helpful. This, is the main problem of why vhs doesn't have new players.

I won't touch this game again until they really care about their players, because of the low player-base that barely has to survive, they kill new players who like the game.

And it's truly a shame, because it's a great game and a breath of fresh air.

I completely understand your point because, when learning as Monster, nobody gives you a break and it's very frustrating. As such, when I encounter a team I can beat, I'm bestial in my approach. I show absolutely no mercy since I feel kind of traumatized by the teams that stomped me and think it's more that the Teens are planning an ambush rather than just being inexperienced.

I know that probably won't help but it hopefully points put one of the issues with the low playerbase. I'm pretty chill in most PvP games but, after getting stomped so much while learning, I literally assume it's a trick when Teens seem inexperienced so I show no mercy in case it is a trick. If my matches had been against similarly skilled opponents while I was learning, (or even ones whose goal hadn't been to stomp me as effectively as possible) I probably would be more relaxed now.

Hopefully VHS can bring in a large influx of newer players at the same time so they can be matched against similar opponents.

You know you're doing something wrong when people love your game by voting and/or watching it (( trailers and whatever else )), but when it comes to playing it, it's a much smaller group.

That's fair, most people who play this game are already very skillful and don't really care if someone is new or not, so it's understandable why you decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. I hope to see you come back some day.

I'm honestly surprised anyone is still playing. From what it sounds like it's about 50-60 players worldwide and you have to play at very specific times to get into matches. I got tired of waiting and going against the same 1000+ hour sweat squads. Hopefully they make a mobile version so I can play while taking a crap because that's where this game is.

The game is barely breaking 100 players in any 24-hour period over the past week--the average playerbase is around 70 players.

It's finally here, the death of VHS.

I'm still wondering if the devs are gonna stick to their promise of only keeping the game in "early access" for a year before a full release. The way things are going there won't be any players left by then and we can finally put this dumpster fire of a game in the dirt where it belongs.

Yeah. I tried to be nice to teens when I tried to play consistently. Pre danger sense I had a group of 3 new teens and an apparent professional. I let the new teens reset twice. Then proceeded to be 4 stigmaed with solo ambushes and interceptions from the pro.

If people wanted monster to wear kid gloves they should have thought about that before they made it mandatory for monster to have a "be mean kill teen" attitude if they didn't want to have teens dancing In front of them as they triple stun into a stigma. And the balance came so late that only monsters with that brutal mentality remain.

RIP VHS. it was fun while it lasted. it sucks i like this game i want it to succeed, hopefully some massive balance changes, map changes happen. New players are discouraged cause their first match online is with a sweaty killer, 2nd 3rd 4th 5th jsut constantly losing and getting stomped by monster is not fun

Welcome to Monster players since Beta. Not unique to this game, and honestly Anomaly isn't that bad. Everyone here has stated that they are the Tryndamere of VHS: a noob stomper.

Your real issue here is that, if you DO in fact have over 300 hours, that you don't have that much experience against Anomaly with a functioning team to understand how to counter him because either your teammates are playing like garbage or they are playing moderately decent and the Monster player has over a thousand hours and decided they wanted to win while your team isn't playing meta.

Hellbent will never make an overpowered Monster, as they value the solo Teen experience too much. Even if it's not strong and just annoying, they will take care of it. Just give them a couple more weeks and they will likely nerf the Anomaly somehow.

It is really weird. I think they just enjoy it. I like complaining about the game while hoping it gets better but all the scrolling past the same argument over 8 different posts.
