Currently audio options are not present in Karnage as voice chat is something we added very last minute with our multiplayer update. We'll be adding the options soon. For now it is suggested to use Karnage's voice chat and mute Discord. Sorry for the inconvenience
It is something we are working on, and hope to get it to the players soon
Can't find the Option.
+1 vote for in-game voice mute
No audio settings at all and the in-game voice chat is so quiet we basically have to yell to hear each other. Since we can't turn it off or change any options, this is a refund level issue for us.
There are audio settings. click on the settings tab on your belt. We are looking in to muting Players in a patch
It might take us more (much more time) than what you appreciate at times. It is not because we don't want to do it or are lazy, it is simply because we have always only been 3 people working on this game, and quite frankly have always had to take on additional outside work to make ends meet. VR doesn't sell, but we promised to complete this game and we did when most others would have turned it into abandon-ware...
We have delivered on almost every promise we have made, many times over-delivering, and though I can understand the frustration of waiting for the thing you want, I hope you can realize that there are many other players who are waiting for what they want too, which is sadly for us often not the same thing. So we prioritize the best we can, and sometimes that is not good enough for some of you. Apologies for this, but attacking us and saying we are insulting our customers and lying is to take a big piss on us for all the effort done.
There are definitely audio options in the game, but there are no options right now for controlling VOIP specifically.
PS, in-case this helps: If you are playing with an Oculus HMD you can easily adjust VOIP volume through the Oculus menu inside VR.
Are we going to address the VOIP issue? Yes. Do we know exactly when? No. Have we sometimes said "will fix something soon"? Yes. And when we don't it is usually because we encounter an issue related to it that holds us back or because something more pressing appears. We sometimes forget too if something stays in the backlog for too long, we are humans after all.
So again, apologies for not having this in-game yet, it is actually on top of the list for the next update. At the same time, please do try to be a bit nicer with us, that would really be appreciated and very motivational at the same time :)
Hugs from the Trolls
We do understand your frustration. We really do!!
Thanks for your work on this game. It's fantastic and I've been having a lot of fun, played my first co-op session with a friend tonight. With affordable headsets like the Quest 2 launching, I hope you can get more sales with wider adoption. I haven't done any games, but I've been in web development for over 10 years and I understand how much of a passion project this must be. Either way, great job. Anyway, I showed up here Googling around to see if there was a way to disable voice chat in the game and now I know why it's not there. It ended up not being a huge deal because I use ducking in Teamspeak anyway to lower the volume of other apps when people are talking. It would be nice to be able to just have a toggle to disable it entirely though. My friend could hear me just fine, but when he was speaking to me through the game his voice would stutter. We didn't experience the same issue through Teamspeak. Besides wanting to use external VOIP solutions, this could be a real problem if you were playing a game with pubs. If I join a multiplayer game and someone has poor mic ettiquite such as eating chips, breathing heavily into the mic, coughing, sneezing, etc. I mute them immediately. Not being able to mute someone would be reason for me to not play multiplayer with pubs or play another game entirely. Again, not criticizing your progress or work ethic, just giving you my 2 cents as a player of games. Sometimes randoms on the internet can also be terrible people and say horrible things through voice chat too. Mute functionality is super super important, and I hope you add it soon. Cheers!
