SPOILERS - Help with the last part of the final mission
Hey guys. SPOILERS AHEAD.

So I got all the way through the final mission to the final showdown. Putting aside how utterly ridiculous this section is at the end of the last level, and how much it reminds me of the worst parts of the original Commandos games (i.e. just put 20 people in an area and make them all look at each other).

The objective it says is to defeat all the enemies with 1 attack, but they are so spread out all over the area and on the roof of the church I really don't see how this is possible. With Hector's shotgun I could kill probably 4-5 with the right positioning, and some others with the other characters but getting into that position with people walking all over the place and checking bushes seems to be impossible.

Is there something fundamental I am missing here? I tried luring people out with hector's whistle but they refuse to come outside and nothing else seems to work.

I used Doctor's bottle, and it took down 3 people at once, including one connected with another. 1 killed by the Kate's handgun, and then 3 by Hector's shotgun.

Two linked downed by Doc, one melee by Isabelle, four by double barrel shotgun and one with Kate. And those enemies roaming around were easy, i guess you have noticed that some of them just running in and out of the bushes and don´t forget to use aerial attacks from the wall.

You say they are spread out, but all enemies apart from the ones in the circle can be taken out first before the showdown. Clear out the surrounding enemies so that only the blue guys and Frank are left. Then line up your skills to take them all down at once.

Yeah i did it in the end after using some bush jumping and some careful trap placement from Hector. I still say that this part was the worst part of the whole game though.

Yeah, this was definitely the worst part and I hope devs will do something with in the next patches. I also managed to finish it but it took me even more time then the rest of this mission. Probably it would be much better if all of it would be done in cinematic.

I just did it on Desperado difficulty, and I'm wondering if it was really possible to do it without Doc's gas (you only have 1 for all the mission, hopefully I didn't use it during the first part of the mission).

I didn't find a better position to kill more than 3 guys with Hector and when I tried Isabelle's possession it doesn't seem to work (Cooper died instantly).

You don't need to get them all. I let the ones around church live and the mission passed ok, just get the ones in circle

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved this part of the game, I think it was a great ending. Yes, it took a lot of planiing, but in the end it was very satisfying to see all those guys simultaneously slump down to the ground after a well executed attack.

The only complaint I have is that during this scene the game for some reason doesn't allow you to execute showdown commands for characters separately. Every time I tried to execute a command for someone else, Cooper would get shot.

That's because Cooper has already a shotdown action configured (shooting on Frank).

I got 4 with Hector's shotgun, 1 with Doc's gun, 2 with Kate's gun (Isabelle's connect) and 1 with Isabelle's mind control dart. I later reloaded and checked, since they've got a second's delay (on Hard at least), you can have Isabelle just run up and murder him with sickle instead too.

I really loved the Finale myself.

Still doesn't explain why we can't execute commands for OTHER characters separately. Normally the game allows that.

because if you kill one blue coat the others will see it and they will act, the whole point here is to kill them simultaneously.

Man, just finished the game. Glad i saved the doc bottle, made that last fight a joke.

Assuming you're out of doc phial and isabelle mind control ability, you can position hector in the top left side and get 4 people with the shotgun, then connect one of those 4 people to another one, so you'll basically get 5 people with one shot, and the last 3 would be kate gun, doc gun and isabelle melee kill.

Something weird to note with the finale is that for some reason Isabelle's cat actually works against the blue coats and Frank, when every other character's distraction abilities give a game over. Have her link two blue coats and use the cat on them, and you've got enough of a window to take out the normal dudes in the back if you need to, plus it gives you more leeway to move Hector to a spot where he can shoot four blue coats.

The biggest bummer is that it seems like you can't use showdown mode at all in the segment outside of triggering the final attack. I was trying to use the shortcuts to trigger the queued abilities for individual characters, but that always resulted in a game over even though everything worked fine using the abilities manually.
