After failing a couple missions though it all clicked and now for the most part makes sense and I am having a great time.
If i could figure it out, you can too.
Allies do seem to die quicker than in other musou games though, which is annoying
you sir are exceptional
I did not say it was difficult, but I don't care for the failure option of any ally dying. Now to be fare I probably made it only about 10% of the game before I stopped. It just wasn't fun for me. In many Musou Warriors style games there will be important targets that will fail a mission if they are downed, but not any of them. People that complain that these games are easy also never increase the difficulty. I think Crimson Sea stood out as one of their few games where they used swarm mobs and strong mobs as to not have 30+ targets just watching you cut them down. I also haven't played that in over 15 years, so that may not be accurate.
I see, so you are one of these people who come back to the game franchise after many years and surprised its not the same as what you remember.
You'd love baldurs gate 3 discussion forums.
Probably you already know, but you can see all the side quests from the pause screen.
yeah, but u have to go through a couple of button presses and stuff, its kinda tedious lol. Its mostly a nitpick after having WO4U's perspective, sure this game came before WO4, but still lol
Except quests here can last of several battles, wo4 or wo4u has no quests like this game, only battle objectives
Which here are dynamicand randomized, and change as battle progress, which alone is a massive step up from pretty much every other warriors game on steam
I am starting to think you are not comprehending my words. I have literally 1 issue with the game in it's design. If a franchise stayed identical it would be pointless to play future games. I hadn't played Crimson Sea in 15 years.....not a Musou Warriors game in 15 years. Maybe read responses more than once? lol
Did not realize they were randomized. Interesting!
ye only major plot related objectives are set in stone, all the others like "kill transport unit" or "take that base!" are random you will see it if you start failing missions and redoing them
you only have one issue and thats enoguh to call it worst warriors game ever?
and your issue is non existent because losing just one officer does not lose you battle unless their survival is an objective, I just had a battle where I failed to save 2 sword officers in trouble and I won the battle anyway since the only condition was to protect Setsuna
you must have misunderstood something
I bought the game on disc and just checked my shelf and don't see it there. Maybe I gave it away. I'll have to see if my son was using it. I have played damn near every Musou game and it was the only one that I ever had that condition on. I stopped playing it because I was tired of constantly running around saving everyone until no enemies were left to run the objective. It was near launch and I was hyped to play it. I don't stop playing musou games until I have played them out with the exception of some of the ones I have repurchased on Steam after having played them before.
that said I will look for my copy on PS4 and see if I can find what I was talking about. I may have lent it out to a friend. I do remember having Alchemist Sophia. I'm watching some gameplay videos of early play throughs and I am not seeing what I was talking about currently.
I originally posted this hoping it wasn't the way I remembered. If I can't find my PS4 copy I will just buy it on Steam. I am starting to wonder if I just had turned the difficulty up as high as possible, but that is something I could have altered. Maybe I am not remembering what killed it for me correctly and now I am wondering what made me stop playing it.
yeah, at any rate, you can lose officers and you can lose bases and actually you will a lot as AI is quite competent and aggressive here
