I've yet to play a match that went on long enough to warrant revisiting an Assault Base though, but I have noticed how it bolsters my Base's defenses.
1. Inactive (denoted black sword icon)
At this state the base on cool down after past activation. You cant do anything about it but wait.
2. Active - Neutral (denoted by white sword icon)
At this state the base is ready to be captured. Capturing this will spawn a pretty "powerful" troop called assault commander/captain (i forget the name)
3. Active - Captured (denoted by blue or red sword respectively)
At this state the base is captured and after some time will spawn the Assault Commander/Captain. There is some thing I notice... if the base is captured by our team, it'll have health by 50 troops meanwhile if its capture by enemy team it doesn't show health so nothing I can do to recapture the base except waiting for it to become inactive.
So far, you can only capture the base on 2nd state and to capture it is as simply to walk into the center of the base (sword statue). I also notice either enemy took longer to take the base or common private troops cant capture it. Haven't tested enough to confirm.
hope this helps!
