R0 Titan Question

Okay so my first time through I was getting massive amounts from monasteries and deep mines like the guides said. I Unlocked druids and faceless and went to go back to titans to grind but for some reason no matter what I do monasteries are usually tied with Iron Stronghold for third with Ancient Pyramid being the highest and that never comes up as a choice for lightning strike. Am I buying things in the wrong order? Should I focus on buying only certain building to maximize Titan drill? Also, I thought the guide had it as two separate upgrades, one for mines and one for monasteries. Any help for a relative newb will be appreciated. (I actually played several years ago on kong and my cloud account is at R8, but with how many years its been and all the changes I wanted to start over)

There was a massive update last night that changed pretty much everything. After searching in the changelog at http://musicfamily.org/realm/Changes/ it looks like what happened was that Titan monasteries lost a big multiplier and got a flat bonus instead which clearly isn't doing the same kind of work.

If you're reading my guide, you'll want to use Druids as it instructs. As long as you haven't burned up your Excavations, they should still be viable. You only need enough Excavations to get the Faction Coins for the upgrades and Heritages.

Well, that is disappointing. Thank you for finding that info for me, I tried looking through that log before posting the question but so much of it had nothing to do with what I was looking for and I must have glanced over the important part. I guess I'll go druids or faceless till I get dwarves. Probably faceless because I have burned up my ecavations(I'm at 50). I was going to do druids but then thought I should get faceless since the upgrade popped up and I thought I could just go back to titans. Faceless might actually be viable because I've been fooling around for a few days(not really optimizing my builds) so I have some time in this incarnation. I think I went from 50 ish Qa to 1 Qi(where I am at now) in just a few hours on faceless.
