You can use builds on Goof's Not a Wiki. As far as I know, the site isn't being updated anymore, but most of the builds will still be good until the big rebalancing patch comes out.

R0-R39 (A0) Build Plot: http://musicfamily.org/realm/A0_Plot.png
R3-R16 Builds: http://musicfamily.org/realm/MercBuilds/
R16-29 Builds: http://musicfamily.org/realm/ResearchBuilds
R30-39 Builds: http://musicfamily.org/realm/PBuilds
R40-99 (A1) Build Plot: http://musicfamily.org/realm/A1_Plot.png
R40-46 Builds: http://musicfamily.org/realm/R40-R46

The Plot images give an overview of what builds to use for each Reincarnation at which amount of Gems. The details of the builds are on the separate build pages.

For example at R11, the A0 plot says:
0-1e12 Gems: Fairy
1e12-1e18 Gems: Druid
1e18-1e36 Gems: Fairyline Fairy (Fairy + Dwarf faction with Fairy bloodline)
1e36-1e60 Gems: Mercenary "Assisted Advancement" (AA) (see R3-R16 Builds page)

So you just check the plot each Reincarnation and use the builds they say. For early Reincarnations, there aren't really any builds, just a faction, so there's no build to look up. Just pick the faction shown on the plot. Later ones will have builds for the Mercenary faction or Research choices.

Personally i found Fairies and Druids horribly underpowered. And only played them once to unlock their heritage. Can somebody explain why are these 2 factions used in A0 ?

Assistants. Fairies and Druids itemize assistants better than the other factions in A0 since Fairies can triple them with spellcasting and Druids turn assistants into mana regen which means more TC casts.

Moreover, both factions boost Blacksmiths to hell & back, which - before Research - is the most productive building in A0. That's why when you get access to Mercs, the common strat is combining Fairy 7, Druid 1, and Druid 7 to push Blacksmiths to being at 100% production contribution, then using utility upgrades to max mana regen (Druid 6 + Goblin 1), or overall production upgrades (Elf 5).

---

Now, that said, I've usually done Elfline Elf up to 1e36, then switching between a merc build for maxing building count and a merc build for maxing excavs. Elven Luck is surprisingly reliable and autoclicks matter a LOT for researches (there's one that requires 1 MILLION clicks to unlock so focusing clicks helps a ton in progressing that).

I have played alot of idlers, alot of hours. It is still in my opinion that a game's progression being promoted via wiki instead of being intuitively being understood ingame is a bad gameplay.
It is not a game anymore, when u copy paste wiki to progress. No wonder why this is one more game that is not popular but has a skeleton of a group members being active.

ironically, those who play those games too much with very small communities do not even bother updating wiki even though they know old posts are not relevant to progression anymore. That is an interesting thing to observe, something that i have seen in multiple games of such communities.

The wiki hasn't been updated - and the game's playerbase has fallen off - as a result of it being almost two years since the last in-game update. Also, the current people who did update the wiki don't actually have access to it anymore (it's owned by someone who's no longer a part of the community); with the fandom, that got abandoned due to trolls coming in and constantly changing things to be wrong and the actual members of the community not being able to maintain it. There are plans by the community to release a new wiki when the game's balancing overhaul update (which is currently being developed/beta tested) occurs.
