Are fairies the dominant (base)? Do they stay that way?

I'm in the early research phase, Reincarnation 20, and I'm trying to make my own research builds. So far, I'm noticing that one faction, the fairies, seems heads and shoulders above any of the others. I've tried doing runs with other factions and had some luck with good research builds - the goblins and demons worked pretty well, and the elves aren't bad - but I just keep coming back to fairies when one slows some and end up decimating whatever gem wall I was having with other factions. They even can do some pretty impressive faction coin generation, further lessoning the use of elves or goblins (with whom I would otherwise gain faction coins for research once I had enough gems for the normal coins). It makes me wonder, do the fairies become less powerful over time? Do other factions come into their own? Am I perhaps missing some powerful build(s) for other factions that would make them stronger? Or do fairies just rule supreme until prestige factions get their unique buildings (at which point my guess is titans or druids, though I'm not sure for obvious reasons)?

Well, I don't know a ton about research (only R22), but from what I know, yes Fairy Research is very good until e90-e93 gems with available research, so yes they are the dominant research faction until Neutral Research. Oh, and to get new RP's, go elves. They are the best faction for FC's so you won't have to drop 100+ excav's to get them.

It depends on the Reincarnation and it changes; you'll say the same about mercenaries, titans and faceless later. I preferred elves over fairies in the first reincarnations, but fairies are definitely pretty strong.

Fairies dominate the majority of research phase, yes. Titans get a brief period in late neutral research but then prestige comes and its basically a dwarf party.

Fairies have never been as good as Elves for research in my experience.

And now that I am into the Neutral Faction research, I am actually considering Titans and Faceless more.
