The ruby powers are quite nice in the first Reincarnation, but they become obsolete very quickly since their bonuses are just additive.
An excavation reset is also pointless since this happens every Reincarnation.
A gem conversion (getting gems without abdicating) also is quite useless since most abdications are pretty short.
So the only thing left are time warps. For new players this is probably the most useful thing to do. But this means waiting until this offline time becomes really useful wich is at R42+ when you want to tier up your spells, and you only want to do a 5 day time warp since so you get the most out of your rubies.
But in the end you still will reach the end of content somewhen at wich you have to wait for new content. (Even when this will need several months) The only difference is that you did it 5 days faster and with 12 less unused rubies.
In short: All ways to spend them are kinda bad, but the time warp is still the best.
