Mercenary builds

What are are some your better mercenary builds you've heard or experienced before?
My build is currently Strong Currency, Black Market, Heavy Coins, Territorial Expanse, Mitosis, Mining Prodigies, Battlehammers, Magic Resistance, Mana Addicts, i picked God's Hand and Goblin's Greed as my spells.

Ok, first: When you want to post your build click on save template and then just ctrl+v it in here, it is a lot easier to read and we easily can import and test it.
Second: At R3 you better just try out a few builds before you start reading the best builds in the wiki or on musicfamily:

hint: musicfamily is more updated, but for old stuff like merc builds the wiki is still usable.

can anyone assist me in build for R16-17+
its going so slow
and moonshine isnt working yet until researches are done.. but im in a rut!
nothing on line
only long stacking drow runs seem to even move the gems.. :(

also nico any way you could assist. or anyone in helping me link my steam account to online and mobile? even a link to show me how
as the online site says enter user and pw which i should have already.. unclear..
also lost on what happens if i log in both steam and online at same time so afraid of that

Errr, to link Steam with Kongregate you just click on the big Kongregate icon in the Steam version and then you either log in to your Kong account or just press on connect or something like that.
About mobile I have no idea since I don't use the mobile version. But I guess it works in the same way, that there somewhere is a Kongregate icon wich allows you to connect your mobile version with your kongregate account.Hmmm, yupe, there is the Kongregate button. So as I said just click it and log in.

And btw, moonshine was never made to get you over e72 gems since this is Research terretory, so it probably wouldn't help you to reach the next R.

The only merc build wich easily would get you to R17 or R18 and probably also over R20 is IGOT, but you probably don't want to use it so just try to use Research

as for the researches that kong thread is annoying and nottttt meant for newbs
I dont understand 90% of it

ive unlocked almost all of the 1st stages
but only have 1 thing under craftmanship (nothing else is in researches)
just craft 1 10 25 50 etc
and 1 is X red and 25 has green check 10 says unknown
odd as heck this ..

X means your Faction can't buy it, check means you've bought it, ? means you can't research it as your Faction. Go to the musicfamily that Nico linked to find out how to unlock the Researches. At this point, just buy the ones you can afford, and try to get as many Research Points in as you can, so you can unlock more. Fairies and Goblins are best for getting the Research Points (I prefer Fairies, myself).

yep yep im seeing it now so its like enhanced challenges rgr that
I love fairies too btw

I just didnt see that they were like challenges where you have to say be undead offline for X etc
for angel etc..
wasnt understanding that lol

myyy bad gots it now, just to find a build as im maxed excavations now at r16 and cant really move in gems nor res at all :(

nah still suggests moonshine for the lvl and gems im at, thats nto working

so ill keep TRYING to get the reseaches done with having maxed my exavvvcations
low coins low gold = no good

How many gems do you have? Also, if you're R16-17 then you're not supposed to use moonshine.

i was using the mining and fairies merc build aka DF diamon forge
still am, but it goes only to dvg 87-88DVG gems at R16
cant raise it more than about 2-3 DVG per abdication which is mindless and slow.

ive heard moonshine is more for R18+ but I dislike how it looks and acts
vs other odd builds ive seen


anyway so thats where im stuck, trying to get researches but not having enough gold due to lack of gems, and or fc since the event is over :(

im sure im missing something esp with all the awesome info given but.. seems im doing whats suggested..
all researches are at at least lvl 50 now and all challenges for my R are done aka lvl 2 of all done
so im .. stumped

ehem... all researches at lvl 50 means you are not even half through the R16 researches wich means it is obvious that you can't use them yet to get gems. Wich means: Get the researches up to 136 and unlock them all. and usually guides want about 100DVg-1TVg gems to start it.

And your current build, Diamond Forge, is not able to reach these gem counts. Moonshine would be able to do it, but an important parrt of Moonshine is the Elf Challenge spell upgrade, wich you don't own since it is only available at R18+, so don't even try to use it.
The best build for this point is Lightning Forge, wich is more or less the same build wich you are already using, just with Lightning Strike instead of Diamond Pickaxe. So pls just use Lightning Strike for now. Obviously you want to wait until LS hits the blacksmiths before you abdicate since you only get gems when it hits them.

And after a few LF runs you probably reached the Research range wich means then you easily can just follow the R16 guide:

yea I used LF for a while but disliked the randomness of it
but it does seem prudent under these conditions.
