Even reincarnation doesn't affect it, only the event expiring will affect it I think.
Now I wonder though, will the faction's 3 upgrades do the same thing or should I wait until the very end of the event before buying any of them? Anything else to buy besides those 3? From the costs it looks like it will take just short of 3 days of keeping up with claiming the orbs to complete each faction. I'd guess that each upgrade will also drop the cost after being bought once so that we aren't just locked into one run to complete each faction, but it seems worthwhile to ask to make sure.
After you buy the first alliance, it becomes free to ally to them again, this also goes along with the upgrades, so if you get champion 1/2/3 it will become free for abdications and reincarations(and people on Kong checked this by buying the rubies)
I"m going to break down the costs in orbs for 1 side, but both sides are the same costs, so it can go for both sides
Alliance-400 orbs(or 6 hours and 40 minutes)
Champion 1-800 orbs(or 13 hours and 20 minues)
Champion 2-1300 orbs(21 hours and 40 minutes)
Champion 3-2000 orbs(33 hours and 20 minutes)
This means, all together to max out 1 side it will take 3 days and 3 hours, out of the 7 days days needed, meaning it will take 6 days 6 hours fo both sides.
This is the important part, as getting champion 3 give you the event bonus of +8% to your overall total event bonus
Gettign champion 1 gives you a 1% bonus
Getting champion 2 gives you an additional 1% bonus
Getting champion 3 gives you an additional 2% bonus
This all together totals 8%, but if you get champion 2 on one side and 3 on the other, it goes up to 6%, so if you cant quite make 3 on one, its not that bad...
Over all you can miss 18 hours of production for orbs(7 days for the event, 6 days and 6 hours are required to get it finished, that is 18 hours of freedom for missing orbs)
The orbs dont disappear at all, even though reincarnation or though abdicating, only when you click on them, so if dont be afraid to abdicate.
For Scrying, this is if your are linked to kong/smart phone
If you link to kongregate, Every 4 hours, you can watch an add to get 1 addtional frost AND flame orb for every 10 minutes for 4 hours, or all together 24 of each orb, which saves you 48 minutes per 4 hours, IF you do this every 4 hours, it can shave off 4 hours and 48 minutes a day, or by 5 days and 5 hours, you can get this done. More realistically, assuming work and sleep stops you every 4 hours, it will save you 2 hours and 24 minutes, doing it 3 times a day so it will be done on day 5 with 17 hours into it.
also for ruby spending,
If you buy the 75 orbs for 5 rubies, you save yourself 2 hours and 30 minutes
If you by 300 for 15(total 20 rubies), you save yourself an additional 10 hours, or 12 hours and 30 minutes overall
If you buy 1250 for 45(totaling 65 rubies), you save yourself, 11 hours and 40 minutes, or 1 day and 10 minutes in total
If you by 3500 for 100 (165 rubies total(this totals about $28 out of your wallet)), you can buy all the upgrades

Winter
Spell Hailstorm-As it goes on, it makes your production higher and higher, it goes by activity this game AND its current activity, in the rate of 0.1 * x^0.6 * y^1.1 %, where X is this game(in seconds), and Y is current duration(in seconds)
Champion 1-Glaciality-increases prodution time based on time spent affliated with winterly
Champion 2-Permafrost-increases production of assisants based on frost orbs collected during this event
champion 3-cold blood-Spell time doubled
This is good for builds that are more AFK in nature and longer runs
Summer
Spell-Heatwave-Increases the production of all buildins baed on spells cast for 12s, also grats faction coins bases on flame orbs collected
Champion 1-Sun beams-Whenever you collect flame orbs, productions of buildings is incrased by the amount collected for 10 seconds.(25*X%, so 4 would be doubled production, 100 would be 25X production for 10 seconds)
Champion 2-Eruption- Gain additonal assistans based on clicks made this game(including auto clicks)
Champion 3-Burning rage-All spells cost 50% less(multiplicative). This means if you are using Abgels, with their 100 reduced mana upgrade, it now costs 50 mana per cast of TC
Best for active runs, esp with that champion 2, it gives a good burst production
then buy the champ 1 upgrade
what happens if you then click on buy WINTER for 400
do you LOSE the progress on the champion summer line?
or does it all come back as free?
im fearing changing to winter..or ice whatever.
