10-25 Qi Gems is the best place to start trying for that Quest. You can easily buy the upgrades needed within an hour of starting the first run on that, both the 200 Exavations, the 50 Qid Coin upgrade, and the Dwarf Quest, in just two runs (Titans or Druids, then Fairies), if you play it right. Don't go above 200, though, as you'll want those Excavations later.

I'm now at excavatin 297 so I went too far I guess. The game never explained how valuable the excavations are or how useful they are.

Did you want the game to explain every little thing? It's a learning experience. Imagine playing before there were forums/chat. You had no way of knowing, at all, just how valuable some things were unless you experienced it for yourself.

Except RG had chat and forum at day 1 and most of mechanics (excavations, research, secret trophies) are deliberately built around checking information outside of the game.

Actually, that was in reference to you saying it never told you how valuable Excavations are. The game shouldn't tell you how valuable something is. Deal with it.

Which was only maybe 10% of the game content of the current year.

Yes, they literally are. Especially researches, which reveal their requirements only after unlocking them. There was even a thread about this oddity, and the main argument in defence of it was "but you can ask in the chat!".
Trophies and artifacts are even worse, their info was datamined directly from the game files.

Try to get KYE without reading outside information. Outside of randomly stumbling upon it while excavating on a non-production build for some reason, and after R12 when reincaranations fly by, there is 0 (ZERO) hints on how to get it.

Doesn't mean they're designed around checking information outside of the game. The game's built around trial and error, and before people started datamining the information, people experimented to figure it out.

No, they literally aren't. Before we had people looking at the source codes in the betas (original beta tester here), we figured out every single Research requirement on our own, just by figuring out what made the % go up.

Actually, it's because I've only even talked with four people on Steam before, and I didn't actually add them from Steam. I really don't care for things like adding people, and only add the ones I actually want to talk with on here.
