Sadly, the value of those points is next to nothing after a few Reincarnations. 25 max mana (1 point into it) won't make any difference for example.
+1 mana per second and +10% is quite big, because at R0 you will have around ~20 mp/s.
And this will push you to 23 mp/s, that's 15% more!)
For example playing Titans is pain until you open Neutral Research around R26.
That's because they have zero mana regen upgrades.
Most of people just keep them and use at very late game to skip a week of time. Or to reset excavations, when you pushed past 10k of them (or more?).
Ruby upgrades are only helpful at early game. And from this upgrades - mana regen are the best)
Thanks for info everyone. I will keep them till i need to do anything else than that.
These are mine (can be checked at the "ruby power" upgrade):
Current Production Bonus: 200% (61 gems due to excavations and events)
Current Assistant Bonus: +1 and 1% (Level 1)
Current Mana Regen Bonus: +1,0 and 1,0% (1%, not 10%. And that's lvl2 already)
Current Max Mana Bonus: +25 and 2,5% (Level 1)
Current Gem Bonus: +0,5 and 0,5% (Level 1)
Current Royal Exchange Bonus: +1,5 and 1,5% (Level 1)
They will interfere with some challenges later.
But based on values that I see - Ruby upgrades are really useless past first day or two of gameplay.
You can just not buy the ruby power upgrade for thr challenge run, and the multiplicative bonus is def far from useless.
At the time you will reach this Challenges - you will forget about 0.3 assistant that Rubi power will give) So it's easy to miss.
And this bonuses are still very-very weak. +1% assistants? You get +10% from Undead challenge. +1% mana regen? You get +10% from Angel Heritage.
So in general it's better to get +100% production from Ruby power, than to skip it for challenge sake
+100% production is not tied to the upgrade, and is given regardless, and is based on total rubies, not rubies on hand.
The nature of multiplicative bonuses (unlike additive bonuses) is that having one does not make the other useless. While the bonuses are pretty low, they are noticable if you spend a few across ruby upgrades. But time warping for spell tiers is probably stil a better investment.
Now this is the answer I was looking for.
At R42+ you can spend 12 Rubies to skip 5 days and upgrade your active spells almost to Tier4.
But ... you can do it only once. So it's like upgrading CtA, HL, MB and DP. SS will stuck at T2. Not much, actually. But helpful to open last faction.
So, you need to wait up to 80-100 days of playin RG, to use Rubies that will cut ~10 days.
Question is - wouldn't investing this Rubies early speed up your playthough through this 80+ days at same ~10 days? )
