Druid Challenge #1 is completely broken

How even are you supposed to do it? I've tried the most obvious solution but it doesn't work.

I think i got this from leaving a building be for some time and once its being hit by the spell upgrade it to the max.

Grand balance targets the weakest building. Therefore, keeping your buildings at roughly the same strength will net you the challenge. Alternatively just build as much as you can since grand balance grows stronger the more buildings you have.

I did that. Every building at 1 and HoH at 0. GB targets the halls because they are at zero, I buy them to the max capacity, for a brief second you can see both the GB mark and 100% mark being there in the same place, GB jumps off to another building, challege isn't counting as cleared. This is honestly confusing, I don't get what else it wants from me.

Because you are trying to cheat it but ignoring how GB actually works, as i already explained. GB targets the weakest building, if you make it change targets it doesnt solve the challenge.

How are you supposed to do it "legid" then? The method you mentioned simply doesn't work. Here's an example: you have a xxxx farms and xx halls. Halls would still chew up 40~60% from all buildings combined and farms would be some 0,000001%. So when you cast GB it will target farms and give you some 0,001 out of total instead. How exactly is one supposed to overcome that? It's impossible to make clear cut calculations when you have hundreds of upgrades available at once, plus assistants, plus gems, plus <...>...

Building upgrades can overcome that pretty easily. You dont need it that close, GB is strong. Just follow what i said and it wont be long until gotten.

Yeah., when all buildings are at about 9% it's really easy to complete this challenge

Okay, finally figured it out. Challenge was indeed broken, suggestions given above just wouldn't work for me, BUT after some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around it turned out that you CAN cheese the game into giving it to you. If anyone ever has the same trouble as me and struggles to find a solution, here's how you do it:
1) buy 10 farms, inns and blacksmiths
2) select the elven bloodline so you don't have any problems with faction coins
3) go select druids, DON'T touch any building/assistant related upgrades
4) set to Buy Max
5) cast GB
6) buy the zero building that it targets, it will jump to the next one. Buy that one too, keep chasing GB icon and the challenge will pop after 3~4 clicks

I doubly made sure and the challenge works just fine. Your method, however, is the one thats broken both in requiring R7 and abusing a glitch that doesnt always work.

Well, what else am I supposed to do if I made it all the way to R9 with the darn thing refusing to cooperate even when I've perfectly recreated several "official/proper" ways to do it, including ones from this thread? If something is irrepairably broken, there's no shame in breaking it further to get what you need.
P.S.: you don't *need* R7 per se. It'll just be a pain in the arsе to accumulate enough faction coins for making allegiance when you can simply use elven bloodline to get those instantly

With R4 gems and just buying buildings and druid upgrades it would be achieved almost automatically.

*Theoretically*. Yet it took five more resurrections and use of an exploit because when you do it legit and a particular building goes a notch over 50%, GB instantly jumps to another building and does so ad infinitum, making the challenge impossible. How are you supposed to get 99,99% when you can't even get 51% without it resetting itself is beyond me. It's like listening people reprimand you for not filling a bowl with water, when said bowl has an enormous hole in the bottom.

Because, again, GB targets the weakest building. Look at the precentages BEFORE the cast to see which building it will target, and you can see what precent you need via the strength of GB. Did you buy all the druid upgrades? Because again, simply running a druid build for production would have you see how high GB gets.


Its not theorical, the challenge been there for years and it was never considered to be broken nor hard.

Hmmm. I meet all the baseline requirements ( reincanation 13, HofB upgrade and the elf+ demon challenges). However, Hentacle's method did not work for me, so I tried Necrodoom's. Got all buildings roughly equal in terms of %ages, cast GB with 11M% bonus and deep mine production went up to and stayed at 100%. Hooray!!!!

However, still not awarded the challenge even on multiple attempts!
