fairy and elven challenge 1s

So are these only possible with excavations? I mean, for elven at least i understand what the strategy is, but i've only gathered around 30k-40k in half an hour. And for fairy, well it's a minute xD

It's not impossible without excavations, but you probably would have to wait until R7 to do it withiut them.
But it's not like using excavations is a problem. And the 1 minute is actually a lot of time if you use excavations.

Yeah, WITH excavations it's fine, i was just asking about without them

As I said, at R7 it gets really easy.
