R18 and I feel stuck

I went from R9 to R18 very easy with the last event's bonuses. Now without them I seem unable to do much of anything. Any insight or help in this matter would be great. Thanks alot

Well, it sounds like you missed the new mechanic wich got introduced at R16 called Research.
Here is a guide for the R16 part and one for it in general so that you also can find the unlock requirements for R17 and R18, in case you don't want to find them out on your own:

Yeah, that's the downside of events: the players miss important parts of the game. But after the feature called Ascension the events get that weak that this can't happen again.

Thanks nico for sharing the link and being so helpful . You said everything . I'd like to ask something really important ! Do you have " Know your enemy part I " Artifact?
Did you farmed the autocast ?
What build do you use?
Mercenary build ? Research?
Anything that could be helpful to help you out !
I was R18 during the event (Summer event) and I personally recommend you to play Lightning forge until you reach e72 gems then Fairy Research to e75 gems and for e75-e85 gems I used Demons !
I am currently farming a research for unlock a new research(8 h farm XD= so I cant really share you the build I used,I made it myself,I tried random stuff from my own ! I'm not disappointed but it's kinda long and it's online build ! I don't really understand eveyrythings about the game especially how to make a good merc build but !! Research is easier when you know what you want and you better have unlocked every research you can and complete all challenge you can ! Best of luck !

R45 - get tier 3 titan spells and start grinding your way to dragons.

i have a bunch of t3 titan spells, but i can't afford the upgrades.

You wont be able to afford them a lot of them, but you will use CTA3, LS2, GG2, which will be enough to push you to dragons in a day or two.

Then you maybe should wait for more fc and coins or you should redesign your build for more fc and coins
