Best faction to get mathematician?

Tried it on titans, but of course lightning is striking all the crap buildings. What's the best faction at R0?

If you are just starting out on R0 or heck R0-R6 use FAIRIES and DWARVES (thats DWARVES not DWARFS) sheesh
if you are at end of ANNNYY run and have dwarves unlocked then NO FACTION is better than another at all, you will start out hitting almost 1000 on all buildings
SO THE POINT IS MOOT on BEST depending on where in the game said player IS.

i concur again that if you are just starting out on R0 or early Res runs you are correct, fairies!
buuut once you pass that threshold of insanity, its moot which faction you pick..

i'll allow myself to post one more thing here:

Most suited faction would be that one that supports matematician requirements. and that are:

-Fairies (because the reduction cost of the 3 lowest tier buildings wich you need the most amount and increases their income wich help build more)
-dwarves (because global reduction in cost of buildings)
-driuds (because of "perks" that go well with this sort of build -druid vocabularity, building jungle)

If you have dwarves unlocked you can pair them with fairies for even better synergy.

One most important thing is that how much gems you own. At certain point there is almost no difference between faction to do this.

My advice is this:
1)export game
2.1) try to run with fairies
2.2)if you have dwarves unlocked use them too (fairies-> dwarves)

if the achievement would be out of reach
3) import game (if you have used excavations)

if you have druids unlocked try the same as above with them.

If you fail wait till you get some more gems :)

Actually, "Dwarfs" is the original spelling for multiples of "Dwarf". Try looking it up sometime.

We're talking about for WHERE the OP is, which is R0. At R0, Fairy Dwarfs is the absolute best Faction for it, production-wise, due to having fewer buildings overall and much lower production when going for the Trophy. Fairy Dwarfs will be the absolute quickest Faction for this at R0, regardless of Gem counts. Yes, others can get it at higher Gem counts, but Fairy Dwarfs will do it quicker.

I am answering the OP's post after having earned Mathematician dozens of times in a variety of ways. This is based on EXPERIENCE.

I;m not a native english speaker so i do not know the details. All i know that this game got some "spelling issues" like artifacts (and not artefacts). The difference are from region and US/UK language difference.

The info ive reach was that at the beginning the "Dwarfs" form was the proper one. But after the Tolkien published "Hobbit" and "The lords of the rings" the forsm "Dwarves" that was used in his books was gettng more and more "Fans". So as for today the both forms are more or less equal (assuming you adres the fantasy race, not the living people).

Next thing is the in game naming. There you have got:
-Dwarven bow
-Dvarven Heritage
-Dwarven Trade Treaty
-Dwarven Ale
-Dwarven Friendship Pact
-Dwarven Alliance
-Dwarven Forge Quest
-Dwarven Forges
-Legacy of The Dwarven Kings

so in my opinion the game uses the "Dwarves" not the "Dwarfs" version. But i say one more time this is opinion of someone that is not a native speaker.

No one is denying that. But as was stated by previous people the gem count is a great factor in this. The more gems you got, the less important the faction is. For example i was doing lots of unlocks at R:0 ( including equality, beard carpet, unlocks all the neutral factions inclding faceless). ive ended with gems that were more than needed for R:2.at that point my time needed to unlock the achievement was the time needed for the clicks needed to buy actual buildings. Ive done it with druids, but i doubt that if ive done it with fairies it would be any faster.

Now to the bottom line:
Is it really need to go to a holy war for something so trival? The questino in topic was long ago answered. I think the autor got the idea how to deal with the trophy.

maybe one tip to all who want to wage war here - maybe create an new thread and go and continue there? Name it like the holy flame war or the grammarnazi corner...

I grew up with JRR and pen and paper (yes im old) aka dungeons and dragons, its never a DWARFS

seriously, nothing you said was neccessary. nobody has any right to insult or poke fun at other people's opinions. at R0 with R gems, sure. any faction can get it. but that's also like saying any build can get D55 once you reach mercenary research. yeah, that's true, but I would rather get that 3 million mana NOW early in vanilla research so I don't have to grab it later for C375 to make a functional titan research.

fairy dwarves are very fast and yes, at R gems any faction can do it. but just because all available options reach my objective in a few seconds does not mean I don't still want the fastest one.
