What's the recommended way to gain Faction Coins when you first start a new run?
It seems as though the slowest part of any new run is gaining enough coins to ally with a faction.
However, some of the trophy requirements, such as Hell Rush, make it abundantly clear that there's supposed to be some way to gain enough coins to pick one quickly. Short of the expense of excavations, what's method are we supposed to use to gain them right off the bat?

Hell Rush doesnt make it anywhere abundantly clear, the correct way to get it is to load up demons, go to sleep, wake up in the morning and grab your free challenge.

Elven Bloodline and Tax Collection upgrade are the way to grab factions straight away.

i;m doing this way:
0-1e9 elves
1e9-1e33 titans
1e33+ merc (as for me at r14 1e72 is no prob)

Elven bloodline gives big boost of gems (r7)

or if you got lots of gems to start with you can do excavation (so it is good to know what you will do on your next R to save excavations for the things you need them most)

Doing dwelves at 1e18 gems would be more efficient than doing titans all the way to mercs. Hell, just skipping titans alltogether is faster.

the first fast way to get faction coins is using excavations. Then later you can get the magic trophy called Coin Pillage wich makes your Tax Collections give you faction coins, but for this you probably must be at R3. and then a feature at R7 will make it very easy to get some early faction coins.

i dunno, for me it goes fast. from 0 to merc (1e33) it takes me around 30-45 mins or so without using excavations (i;m using those at the end of runs for artefacts/challenges digs)

Gift of Kings provides 500 coints per faction to help you buy your faction upgrades for the first runs. And it's a good way to reward the developers for their work on this game !

It should probably be noted that for Hell Rush, specifically, it's mostly a matter of getting a decent pile of gems so that you can get your buildings and their associated assistants out quickly at the start. You don't actually need excavations or coin pillage, just a quick setup and the boost to faction coins that comes from gem power.

There are later unlocks that do require more, but Hell Rush should be attainable before the end of R0.

ive done a test run and ive saved timings and progress.

titans: 2 means deep mine, 1 monastery, 0 other building (LS target)

R15, starting with 0 gems. Runs:

1) Elves-> 3min 50sec -> ended with 25e9gems
2) Elves-> 5min 20sec ->ended with 2e18gems
3) Titan->10min 10sec ->ended with 295e24gems (2,0,0,0,0,0,1)
4) Titan->13min 0sec -> ended with 3e33gems (0,0,0,1,1,1)

total time:32min 20sec, Excavation used: 0

If there is faster build to reach merc and dont waste excawation along the way i would gladly hear use your advice :)

Autoclicker. will have all you need for basic factions in a minuite to max. neutral takes a bit longer unless you excavate.

Actually you need a little bit longer than just 1 minute, especially in the beginning.
