Angel challenge 1

Gods Rest Upgrade
Cast Holy Light 50 times during day time within 20 minutes of a new run

I have tried this several times now and on my last run didnt pick Angelic Dominance to stay at 20sec buff duration in order to be able to cram 3 buffs into a single minute. This leaves me with theoretical 60 buffs in that timewindow. I m using auto-cast which sheds a second here and there, still enough buffer for the required 50. I also cast Holy Light only in case the other spells interefere.

Yet the challenge doesnt unlock and I wonder if I m doing something wrong.

Does this mean that I have to cast 50x Holy Light in the first 20 minutes after I start a new run?

yes, this usually always means within the first x minutes of a new run.

just to clarify this: a "new run" means to abdicate; you do not have to do it in the first 20 minutes of a reincarnation (same goes for the other challenges like XXXX fairy buildings within Y minutes or XXXX clicks as an elf).

Regarding this challenge: Is this correct, that you have to do this during day time?!
Because if that is so, that is not shown in the german tooltip...And I wondered, why I haven't unlocked it after 16 minutes.

Yes, this is a known issue. But don't ask me if the devs know it, since it already is like this for a pretty long time without that they fixed it. I was watching a german Let's Player who played RG and this translation issue was the main reason why he moved to the english version. And since I don't 100% trust the translations, because of issues like this, I would suggest to use the english version, unless you are aweful in english. Then it's also easier to get help from other players or understand stuff wich is written in guides or wikis in case you use it. And somehow everything sounds a lot cleaner in english than in german.

I think daytime was something like 6:00-18:00.

I thought, I'd be fine with the German one, and only didn't change to English because of laziness.

Good that you gave me that little "wake-up call"; if this isn't the only translation issue, I can expect, then I'll definitely change.

Well, it is the only translation issue wich I know. I don't know if there are more out there or not. But I guess even when thi sis the only one and they maybe even fix it somewhen it surely still could happen somewhen in a new update with new content.
nd the chances that issues are happening in the english version is a lot lower in general, and also generally fixed faster, since many ppl play it in english.
And everything 'sounds' better. Since all the different words were chosen to work together, whereas in german they kind of just tried to find a good fitting word, but sometimes they failed a little bit.

But I must admit that they already changed some misfits, like for example at the beginning they translated Divine to Hellsehen. Now they changed it to the way better word Himmlisch

So I don't want to say that the german translation is aweful and they don't want to change that. I just want to say that I think that most of the time the original english version is better, unless you are really aweful in english. Since it is nearly always the case that the original is better than the translation. But that's not DG's fault, that's just how the world and the languages work.

"Daytime" is 6 AM - 6 PM.

Are you casting Holy Light or God's Hand? If you're casting God's Hand, that will explain why you're not succeeding. Holy Light is the Spell you need to cast for the Challenge.

I did a full run of God's Hand, because I thought I read right, read again, oops, did a run with Holy Light right after, didn't work. Thought 20 minutes have to pass for this one. Nope. Looked up the English description. "During daytime" which is missing completely in German.

Do you have the Spell Trophy, "God's Rest" unlocked, and the upgrade for it purchased, when attempting this? The Spell Trophy is for casting God's Hand on a Sunday.

Look, I get that you want to help, but at this point the issue is already clear. It wasn't during daytime. The point remaining is, that the German translation has no mention of that it has to be done during daytime. Which is why I am using the English language now to prevent any further missing information keeping me from actually progressing. I have had both, the trophy unlocked and the upgrade purchased.

No, it wasn't 100% clear. Yes, you could have been saying that it was that it wasn't during Daytime, however, the only thing you were really saying on that matter was that the German translation didn't specify that. You never stated that you achieved it, nor that that, for sure, was what was wrong. How it came off in the conversation was that you still hadn't earned it.

I'd hate to disagree. Whoopar is not the OP and clearly stated that his issue was that the German translation does not mention daytime in his first post as his only issue.

I believe it's more an issue of miscommunication. I suppose dev was attempting to help OP, Whoopar thought he was responding to Whoopar, and then dev mistook Whoopar's response as OP's response.

As for the OP, his post was half a year afo. I'd assume that he already got it after the 3rd post.
