Kid-friendly racing?
Bought this game to see if I could play it split screen with my three-year-old, it'd be his first racing game. Everything's pretty much perfect: it's colorful, it's easy to set up a splitscreen race and drive, Xbox One controller works perfectly. However, I can't find a split screen mode without the arcade check point timer running out.

My kid obviously couldn't drive in a straight line if his life depended on it, but he can't learn if it's Game Over before the first check point.

Am I missing something in the settings, or should I look for another game?

Hi there, as mentioned Hotshot Racing is based on arcade racers like Virtua Racing, Daytona USA etc. For younger kids many people play the Cops and Robbers mode in splitscreen - that mode has no checkpoints, when a cop they can drive around the opposite way, crash into the other cars etc. Hope that works out for you!

You'll have to look elsewhere, this game's more like the old quarter-munchers than anything.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I ended up settling for TrackMania Turbo, but I'm definitely keeping Hotshot Racing in mind asan awesome game for when he masters the controls. <3
